Jack is Life! Jack is Love! The Keaning is happening!

Most sales are just that: some nice deals, tons of games, some flowery marketing talk about those deals. Nothing more, nothing less. As you know, last year we ran our Fall Insomnia Promo with the usual expectations that follow a typical sale.

The Insomnia Promo was different. Very, very different. It morphed into something beyond our wildest expectations. Entire communities were staying awake for this sale. The RPG Codex was busily snapping up and all classic RPGs. 4chan's very own /v/ put aside their usual bickering about which console was best and started trying to find The Pattern (sorry guys, you didn't crack it :^) ). Meanwhile, Jack Keane acquired a cult following (JACK IS LOVE! JACK IS LIFE!) all the while collecting a flurry of 5 star reviews where gamers documented all sorts of miraculous manifestations of Jack's blessing in their lives. Lastly, the Insomnia promo garnered its own entry on our [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/the_return_of_the_insomnia_sale]wishlist.

Welcome to our Spring Insomnia Sale! Back by popular demand*, we will be putting up 100 games in limited quantities** with discounts up to 90%. We'll have more games for sale than Noah had animals in his ark. Indies. Classics. Classic indies, even. All kinds of games for all kinds of gamers. However, you have to be fast, faster than those Polish script kiddies*** lurking outside our offices so they can get 0.1 ms of ping!

We did change things up a bit this year. While checking out, keep an eye peeled for a random chance to get a free game. Yes, this time there will be no more split second freebies so everyone has an equal chance :)

*why would you do this to yourselves, you mad fools?!?!
**yes, we know that all games are being distributed digitally and quantities can be infinite, just roll with it, ok?
***it was a common theory that all the free games were being snatched up by Polish hackers. We don't have any hackers here in Poland, we deported them all...somewhere...
Heretic Kingdoms, this should also herald the coming of Papers Please for all those folks that have expressed interest in it. So come on and get this one and move it to that one.
phew, got one, that was fast
Damnit...! I missed Zork due to a one minute toilet break... (-_-)'
zork went way too fast! How are yer meant to buy it in a blink of an eye?
woooohoooo got my Heretic Kingdoms finally!

NoNewTaleToTell: Yeah, I can understand that. Out of curiosity, if you miss locations/dialogue do you get penalized (story/ending-wise?)
I only went through it once (too many other games in back log). I don't think so though...you might miss a little story tidbit or visual but It is fairly linear and not hard to back track some if you want to just take your time a look around.
Wow, glad I was paying attention and knew Zork was coming up...
Dam I didn't even have time to see what the last game was called it went by so fast.

Yeah. I was just in the aypal pay out when it was already gone :S
Next one should be Papers Please
Since I waited like 2 days for Heretic now I just felt a wave of sience through me the moment I saw it is on sale.
And also my heart just skipped a beat. Did I mention that I slept like 2 hours?! ^^

Haha, I barely know what the game is, but I see the numbers fly so fast that I quickly click the buy button.

Thank goodness I am in time
completely missed Zork, already own it, but still Didn't even see it pop up, My first thought was that GOG changed the pattern, which I am still half expecting them to do anyway. If it wasn't for the comments here I would not have known it popped up at all.

Thanks for the info, I missed at least two locations in the first area (went to explore a place I saw, ended up in the next area haha) so I wasn't sure if I doomed myself to a bad ending (if there are multiple endings).
ARG! Time for me to go to work, again, and I can only hope and pray that Deponia 3 doesn't come up for the third time before I can snag it. Why did they have to do the insomnia sale in the middle of the work week? (

See you folks in about seven hours....
