Jack is Life! Jack is Love! The Keaning is happening!

Most sales are just that: some nice deals, tons of games, some flowery marketing talk about those deals. Nothing more, nothing less. As you know, last year we ran our Fall Insomnia Promo with the usual expectations that follow a typical sale.

The Insomnia Promo was different. Very, very different. It morphed into something beyond our wildest expectations. Entire communities were staying awake for this sale. The RPG Codex was busily snapping up and all classic RPGs. 4chan's very own /v/ put aside their usual bickering about which console was best and started trying to find The Pattern (sorry guys, you didn't crack it :^) ). Meanwhile, Jack Keane acquired a cult following (JACK IS LOVE! JACK IS LIFE!) all the while collecting a flurry of 5 star reviews where gamers documented all sorts of miraculous manifestations of Jack's blessing in their lives. Lastly, the Insomnia promo garnered its own entry on our [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/the_return_of_the_insomnia_sale]wishlist.

Welcome to our Spring Insomnia Sale! Back by popular demand*, we will be putting up 100 games in limited quantities** with discounts up to 90%. We'll have more games for sale than Noah had animals in his ark. Indies. Classics. Classic indies, even. All kinds of games for all kinds of gamers. However, you have to be fast, faster than those Polish script kiddies*** lurking outside our offices so they can get 0.1 ms of ping!

We did change things up a bit this year. While checking out, keep an eye peeled for a random chance to get a free game. Yes, this time there will be no more split second freebies so everyone has an equal chance :)

*why would you do this to yourselves, you mad fools?!?!
**yes, we know that all games are being distributed digitally and quantities can be infinite, just roll with it, ok?
***it was a common theory that all the free games were being snatched up by Polish hackers. We don't have any hackers here in Poland, we deported them all...somewhere...

rtcvb32: So far the two games that seem to be stuck for a while is, Alen Wake's American Nightmare, and now Humans must answer...
Do anyone know what games stuck at the first round? I hard Alen Wake (Without the nightmare) is a Kean contender

I went to sleep when American Nightmare was out so it seems I didn't missed anything.
I forgot one other wonderful issue with Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi. If you're jumping and you touch an object like a chair (or if you're sprinting and you jump, or if you sprint over an uneven floor, or if you walk over a lever or if you....) there is a fifty/fifty chance that your character will jump fifteen feet in the air or so and get hurt on the landing.
Sadly they don`t have Moorhuhn on GOG!
I've been reading some of the Jack Keane 2 user reviews. Great way to pass the time. I'm also playing a quick game of 2048 every now and then.
"only" 35 left... !!

how's humans must answer? i'll sacrifice to the cause if i need to.
So instead of speaking about horrible games I was wondering if we could all discuss our favourite game purchases on Gog.

Mine so far has been the entire Heroes of Might and Magic Series. I was introduced to RTS through those games (and DUNE 2) and since then have been sad that Dos box never worked for me nicely enough until I found GOG.

HELLS YEAH I BOUGHT THEM the moment they were on sale. never looked back you bring a smile to my face with every nostalgic game you take the time to bring back for us.

Deepest thanks.

There are few words to describe this epic game. I was bestowed a seemingly incomprehensible stream of good luck. The moment I clicked purchase my phone began ringing off the hook with just about every possible employer in my local area asking for an job interview. Just now a courier dropped off an entire box filled with gold bars, all appararntely due to me buying this game.
Humans Must Answer is miracle of all happiness in digital form.

I'll bite!
Shelter, Gdoc recommended it to me on two grounds:
1: It's a really well designed, underrated adventure game
2: I'm a very emotional person

I did not pack a lunch for that feel-trip.

I used to create whole campaigns with Heroes 3. Those were the days.

I've got many favorites from the 90s but if I'm going to mention one in particular, if would be the Quest for Glory series. Seriously can't get enough of it. It's like the perfect blend of adventure and RPG, with enough replayability to last for a long time. My absolute favorite was Shadows of Darkness, even it was notorious for its bugs back then. I bought it the instant I saw it on GOG, I think. I already had them, and the Anthology, but it's nice to be able to install and play with minimum fuss.
