Jack is Life! Jack is Love! The Keaning is happening!

Most sales are just that: some nice deals, tons of games, some flowery marketing talk about those deals. Nothing more, nothing less. As you know, last year we ran our Fall Insomnia Promo with the usual expectations that follow a typical sale.

The Insomnia Promo was different. Very, very different. It morphed into something beyond our wildest expectations. Entire communities were staying awake for this sale. The RPG Codex was busily snapping up and all classic RPGs. 4chan's very own /v/ put aside their usual bickering about which console was best and started trying to find The Pattern (sorry guys, you didn't crack it :^) ). Meanwhile, Jack Keane acquired a cult following (JACK IS LOVE! JACK IS LIFE!) all the while collecting a flurry of 5 star reviews where gamers documented all sorts of miraculous manifestations of Jack's blessing in their lives. Lastly, the Insomnia promo garnered its own entry on our [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/the_return_of_the_insomnia_sale]wishlist.

Welcome to our Spring Insomnia Sale! Back by popular demand*, we will be putting up 100 games in limited quantities** with discounts up to 90%. We'll have more games for sale than Noah had animals in his ark. Indies. Classics. Classic indies, even. All kinds of games for all kinds of gamers. However, you have to be fast, faster than those Polish script kiddies*** lurking outside our offices so they can get 0.1 ms of ping!

We did change things up a bit this year. While checking out, keep an eye peeled for a random chance to get a free game. Yes, this time there will be no more split second freebies so everyone has an equal chance :)

*why would you do this to yourselves, you mad fools?!?!
**yes, we know that all games are being distributed digitally and quantities can be infinite, just roll with it, ok?
***it was a common theory that all the free games were being snatched up by Polish hackers. We don't have any hackers here in Poland, we deported them all...somewhere...
Ooh, under 500.

Ha!
Good morning.
Can you tell me if The Last Express has come up yet? I missed several hour, due to sleep.
I can't believe this is still going! :)

ChrisSD: Why is Theme Park taking so long to sell? It's an excellent example of Bullfrog's early brilliance. I think the word "classic" is overused nowadays but this is a true classic. It practically defined a genre.
Bullfrogs early brilliance? Sure you mean Populous, this was an early gem vom them!

Thank you kindly. That's a lot of stuff. I wonder how long this is going to take? And Tomb Raider still waiting, too ..

Better ask GOG. People seem to suggest what they consider *classic* is anything over 10 years old (or the like)
How long of a nap do you think I have time for before the next game goes up? I really don't want to miss anything on my list.

Once round 3 hits, it tends to slow down a lot.

Next time they do this they need to put a timer on the games so people know how long the games have been up for.

Hard to say, specially as I think they're waking up in England which could provide a boost. It could be from 30 to 90 minutes.

That sounds like a good idea. How long has this been on, anyway? I seem to have missed suspiciously few games while I slept!

I may set alarms every 15 minutes just in case. It won't be deep sleep, but it's better than nothing.

I think it's more of a case of everyone already owning it. That's the problem with titles that have been on the roster for years now. We have a finite audience after all.
