Is your body ready to waste away in front of your computer?

Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, inXile's epic post-apocalyptic RPG is here! The masterfully crafted continuation to the 1988s original post-apocalyptic RPG, is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux on GOG.com, for $59.99*.

Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, is the direct sequel to 1988’s Wasteland, the first-ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG and the inspiration behind the Fallout series. Until Wasteland, no other cRPG had ever allowed players to control and command individual party members for tactical purposes or given them the chance to make moral choices that would directly affect the world around them. Wasteland was a pioneer in multi-path problem solving, dripping in choice and consequence and eschewing the typical one-key-per-lock puzzle solving methods of its peers, in favor of putting the power into players’ hands to advance based on their own particular play style. Now, the legend is back, resurrected by the power of thousands of gamers' combined will to visit the grim and dangerous, yet strangely mesmerizing future once again. Today, we celebrate nonlinearity, mature storytelling, and other best traditions of computer RPG design. Brian Fargo and his inXile team opens the doors to the post-apocalyptic future: let's challenge its many dangers, together!

On GOG.com Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition comes complete with a free copy of Wasteland - The Original Classic and inXile's cult fantasy RPG, The Bard's Tale. *$59.99 is the regular price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package"). If you only want to dip your feet before taking the plunge, there's a Wasteland 2 Digital Classic Edition available (US price: $39.99), and it can be upgraded to Deluxe Edition later.

Sachys: I would, but I fear its a load of edited bollocks, same as the specific post I'm asking about. Either give me a straight answer yourself, or don't. Thats a pretty simple request I think to understand your predicament (and perhaps even help).

JohnnyDollar: The Wasteland 2 FLAC was pulled out of customers' accounts.
and I presume you contacted customer support about their infraction of your rights...

oh, wait you're in the US - sorry, can't help too much as your consumer rights are null compared to the EU.

Edit: in other words, contact support and quit bitching here, Thanks!

Didn't ask for it and neither do I need it. I indulged you the previous post out of courtesy.

Oh nice, so in the EU you would be able to demand that part of the soundtrack and presumably receive it since it was included in the original purchase? Very nice. Wish we had that.

I would say the publisher pulling content is an American practice, but Deep Silver (the only real publisher I could find for WL2) is UK/Germany. I suppose that kind of behavior has unfortunately become industry standard though.

Edit: Also, that guy needs to seriously chillax.

Yes, in the UK (at the least - most likely the EU due to the laws being very much in line) I could demand the return of that
to my account (at least long enough for a download - they could remove it after of course).

Industry standard. Now theres a term I dislike (generally - heheh!).

As to Deep Silver, I have good reason to make no futher comment right now, I hope you can appreciate that, also, sorry, but only just seen your prior reply (that part of the system here needs an update methinks).

there are three question marks in that which you quoted, because you labour under the impression that there ARE moderators here. there are none. only Judas, and he will only step in if need be.
now, I will pose that question (as a retort to the post it was initially intended for) AGAIN:

Moderators???!

Exactly, I'm fairly positive industry "standards" are mostly used to convey anti-consumer business practices. Such is life.
Fair enough, we don't really know the reason behind the FLAC version of the soundtrack getting pulled anyway.

What I'm hoping on right now is that inXile or GOG or whomever figures out where the PoE Kickstarter backer version falls under so I can do the Digital Deluxe add-on already.

I think (in many ways) thats a good explanation of the term "industry" - it certainly has little to do with mass procution these days (unless it is somehow detrimental to your health of course), but thats me. Anyways, I must away!

*swooshes cape and falls off building
Removing the FLAC soundtrack is a dickhead, bullshit move on InXile and Deep Silver's end, removing it from people that already own it doubly so and that's on GOG. I expect the downloads to be restored.

Gonchi: .... I expect the downloads to be restored.
i too
Yes, it is on GOG for removing it from the accounts. Apparently inXile requested GOG to do that and GOG obliged them. The fact that there was a licensing agreement and inXile and GOG screwed up by offering it when they shouldn't have, doesn't absolve the seller(GOG) of anything.

What that means to me is that GOG should now pay for their screw-up, and removing it from customers' accounts does not cover it. If they have to pay out of their own pocket or get funds from inXile to pay for it, then so be it, but I purchased it directly from GOG and my beef is with them.

If it turns out to just be a temporary thing, then no harm done I suppose.
What a nobber!
Well, I've just contacted Mark Morgan and he tells me he's completely unaware of what's going on.

inXile exec: Wait a second! We weren't suppose to include the FLAC with GOG copies. Does Mark Morgan know about his?

inXile employee: Not that I know of.

inXile exec: Call GOG and ask them to pull it before he finds out.

:)
Got a few more e-mails from Mark. He says once more he didn't know anything about the soundtrack being pulled from GOG, that everyone that's angry or disappointed should chill, and I quote; "They'll get it!! It's just music.. Hopefully tomorrow morning." and that he's not making anything on the soundtrack so there's no reason why he wouldn't want everyone to have it. I don't know whether that means the soundtrack links will be re-added to GOG or not, we'll see.

Also, I don't think he likes me very much right now.
