Is your body ready to waste away in front of your computer?

Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, inXile's epic post-apocalyptic RPG is here! The masterfully crafted continuation to the 1988s original post-apocalyptic RPG, is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux on GOG.com, for $59.99*.

Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, is the direct sequel to 1988’s Wasteland, the first-ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG and the inspiration behind the Fallout series. Until Wasteland, no other cRPG had ever allowed players to control and command individual party members for tactical purposes or given them the chance to make moral choices that would directly affect the world around them. Wasteland was a pioneer in multi-path problem solving, dripping in choice and consequence and eschewing the typical one-key-per-lock puzzle solving methods of its peers, in favor of putting the power into players’ hands to advance based on their own particular play style. Now, the legend is back, resurrected by the power of thousands of gamers' combined will to visit the grim and dangerous, yet strangely mesmerizing future once again. Today, we celebrate nonlinearity, mature storytelling, and other best traditions of computer RPG design. Brian Fargo and his inXile team opens the doors to the post-apocalyptic future: let's challenge its many dangers, together!

On GOG.com Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition comes complete with a free copy of Wasteland - The Original Classic and inXile's cult fantasy RPG, The Bard's Tale. *$59.99 is the regular price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package"). If you only want to dip your feet before taking the plunge, there's a Wasteland 2 Digital Classic Edition available (US price: $39.99), and it can be upgraded to Deluxe Edition later.

JohnnyDollar: I haven't kept up with it. Does PoE look like a good one? That's what I'm expecting from Obsidian anyway, and I'm sure most probably are too.

Coelocanth: Yeah, it does. I've been playing the beta and although there are some issues (expected with beta builds) I think that overall it's looking very good.
That's good to hear. ;) I just love it that some of these Kickstarter projects are now coming to fruition. Being a PC gamer, I want stuff like this to continue. Not just continue from any direction, but also from some of the biggest names in the business. ;)

So, the FLACs have been silently pulled by publisher request from all editions on a Sunday evening.

Thanks inXile, great way to treat your backers and fans. /S

That's a surprise. They really could be more transparent about these kind of move, take it, but leave a note explaining why.
And still there are some of us waiting for the conclusion of the standard to deluxe thing. It's taking ages for something that were said as a resolved matter.
And now I know why it was done yesterday - today everyone is busy with that Mutator Promo to notice it.

Well done, GOG! /S
So... still no explanation for the sneaky removal of the FLAC sountrack?
If any of the devs is still reading this thread, I'd really like to know what the motives beyond this questionable choice are.
Seriously: why would you forcedly remove something that your customers already paid for?
Many posts ago, I said I was deeply concerned with the last moves of inXile; now I'm pretty sure there is not many difference between them and the same publishers they bashed in their frequent PR speeches.

Mr. Frago may have easily passed the "Kiss Ass" skill check during the campaign, but if I don't see a satisfactory answer to this issue I hardly see myself throwing another cent in their direction.
Congratulatiions, inXile, you're actively destroying the -very- high esteem I had of you.

Edit: typos. Hundreds of typos.

Well said, but don't hold your breath while waiting for a reply, so far inXile is ignoring two threads on this issue on their own forum.
Looks like GOG are trying to get on my shit list by pulling items out of my account that were advertised at the time of purchase.

GOG = inXile?

Good deal. Maybe GOG can remake all the Fallouts and whatnot?

These are GOG servers, aren't they? inXile don't have access to my GOG account.

The purchase was made between GOG and myself, not between inXile and myself. Any more questions?

Would you please clarify what you're on about in your comment?

Look at the preceding 5 posts.

Sachys:
He's butthurt over inXile demanding that GOG take out the soundtrack (which has happened on GOG before, never the game, but the extras have been taken away by the most glorious publishers) and blaming it on GOG.

Which is a perfectly understandable feeling, losing the soundtrack is a kick in the nuts and definitely hurts. It's just not GOG's fault. Blame inXile for shacking themselves up to whichever devil they can find.

Bullshit. The sale is between me and GOG, not between me and the publishers.

I would, but I fear its a load of edited bollocks, same as the specific post I'm asking about. Either give me a straight answer yourself, or don't. Thats a pretty simple request I think to understand your predicament (and perhaps even help).

The Wasteland 2 FLAC was pulled out of customers' accounts.
