Is your body ready to waste away in front of your computer?

Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, inXile's epic post-apocalyptic RPG is here! The masterfully crafted continuation to the 1988s original post-apocalyptic RPG, is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux on GOG.com, for $59.99*.

Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, is the direct sequel to 1988’s Wasteland, the first-ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG and the inspiration behind the Fallout series. Until Wasteland, no other cRPG had ever allowed players to control and command individual party members for tactical purposes or given them the chance to make moral choices that would directly affect the world around them. Wasteland was a pioneer in multi-path problem solving, dripping in choice and consequence and eschewing the typical one-key-per-lock puzzle solving methods of its peers, in favor of putting the power into players’ hands to advance based on their own particular play style. Now, the legend is back, resurrected by the power of thousands of gamers' combined will to visit the grim and dangerous, yet strangely mesmerizing future once again. Today, we celebrate nonlinearity, mature storytelling, and other best traditions of computer RPG design. Brian Fargo and his inXile team opens the doors to the post-apocalyptic future: let's challenge its many dangers, together!

On GOG.com Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition comes complete with a free copy of Wasteland - The Original Classic and inXile's cult fantasy RPG, The Bard's Tale. *$59.99 is the regular price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package"). If you only want to dip your feet before taking the plunge, there's a Wasteland 2 Digital Classic Edition available (US price: $39.99), and it can be upgraded to Deluxe Edition later.

Well, since I, as a backer, now possess the (backer-only!) edition of the game with the least bonus material, how about another upgrade DLC? From the Standard to the Digital Classic Edition? I'd appreciate that. -_-;

Hey guys,

I've got Wasteland 2 as a gift for Pillars of Eternity but so far they only allow me to generate Steam key and I want it on GOG. Obsidian said that they will make it available on GOG too, but no reaction yet

Any ideas on what should I do? Maybe someone at GOG can do something?

I asked on the Obs boards last night. Still no answer from them yet. Someone in the same thread said they'd contacted inXile about it and the inXile guys said it's in Obsidian's hands. I may poke them a bit later on to see if I can get a response.
Wasteland 2--it's here, finally, after twenty-five years.

Now I don't have to play Wasteland. Again.

And Fallout 1. Again.

And Fallout 2. Again.

Now I can play Wasteland 2. Again. And again.

I'm. So. Happy.

It looks as though http://www.gog.com/forum/wasteland_series/which_version_did_i_get/post3 is the answer so far.

I agree. That seems pretty spot on. The only disconcerting thing is that GOG has so far been unwilling to officially state as much even after so many people have asked about it in this thread alone...

I would assume that they're being careful about their statements. Making statements too quickly has caused a lot of trouble in the past.

But, this does seem like something that they should have had an answer for weeks ago.

Well, that's kind of my point. If the statement in the linked post is true, then GOG already knows about this arrangement with inXile, but the fact that they haven't commented makes me wonder about the veracity of the statement made to the poster in the other thread from whatever inXile rep they were speaking to.

Heck, we've got inXile producers and devs wandering all over these forums here at GOG and none of them has commented on this issue either.

I suppose, but OTOH, I'm having to redownload the entire game because they thought that packaging it in a single file and hiding it from gogdownloader was a great idea.

Sometimes I wonder what the actual qualifications for getting a job here are. Because most of these mistakes are ones that just shouldn't be happening.
