Reality--it can be such a drag, right? Just how many times you think you'd love to escape to some imaginary land when everything is simpler and more exciting? Thanks to the modern magic of computer games, you can do just that. Among the fantastic realms created by game developers, the one you'll get to explore in Two Worlds 2 Epic Edition stands out thanks to its size, complexity, and the number of different things you can do as your digital heroic alternate self. If you're the escapist type this one will most certainly live up to your expectations.

In Two Worlds 2 you can ride on horseback, craft items, forge weapons and armor, and even brew potions. The game offers a diverse landscape of forests, deserts, swamps, seashores, cities, and fields, venturing deep into forgotten caverns and dungeons. The way you develop your character is entirely left to your decision. Combine the skills of a ranger, a mage, and a warrior, balancing the focus and creating your own perfect build. The Epic Edition offered on GOG.com includes the original Two Worlds II, the Pirates of the Flying Fortress expansion, and Two Worlds II: Castle Defense.

A whole new life in a fantastic realm far, far away is now well within your reach. Get Two Worlds 2 Epic Edition, for only $9.99 on GOG.com! The release promo offer lasts until Thursday, May 2, at 9:59AM GMT.
Finally it's here.
I suppose now I really should finish the first one.
Ugh, I literally just imported the PS3 version of the Velvet edition because I didn't want to deal with the DRM. It hasn't even arrived yet.

Oh well, glad it's now available DRM free anyway.
I bought Two Worlds 2 from Steam, and they asked me for my home address and shit when I registered the game. Glad that they've finally dropped that nonsense and gone with a GOG release, although I can't agree with G-Doc that it's destined to become one of the classics of the genre.
Got the base game elsewhere but as the expansion never gets a decent discount, I'm really tempted to buy it again here and be done with it.

cyboff: For $10 it is a steal without any debate, but I believe the main reason is, that GOG have to prepare and test their own mac .dmg image :D

drpaulthetall: I don't think so, because they don't want have an arque with the publisher which already made them a fine deal for such a low price and then backstabbing them with a cheaper own Mac wine port release then there own expensive developed one ;)
I do not mean it as GOG's own wine port, but that they have to prepare developers native version to GOG's needs - like to add GOG's icon, GOG's dmg, to test everything...
Excellent release. Instabuy for me!

Games on GOG shelf : 83
Games played from GOG shelf : 22
Games on GOG shelf that I've actually finished : 8

............ hmm.
Nice release, I already have Steam's Velvet Edition, which doesn't includes Castle Defense, but with the 50% discount the price of all the package is the same as only the missing game and without that restrictive DRM. Very tempting...

That's pretty impressive man!
For me you would have to multiply the first and divide the last two statistics.

Not to forget the strong signal for publishers that they can sell their games successfully without DRM. Plus, you can play this one so often as you like due the missing activation limit. :)
Good release :)
w00t! What a great way to end the week! I've been waiting for this forever, b/c I didn't want to deal wit the DRM and limited installs of the physical copy. This is great :D

cyboff: all is nice... but.... but still there is something missing... something like... like... Mac version?
Yes. I am disappointed there is no Mac release too. Everything in this package is available for the Mac as well elsewhere, such as Steam. Why not here??? Somebody doesn't want our money???
I never picked this up because of the activation limits but now I have no excuse.

WingedKagouti: You sound as if you think the MP is any good.
I haven't tried it, but I heard the MP was decent for just mucking about. That's not my scene but it supposedly had somewhat redeeming qualities.
Well, this game just received a place in my shelf at the side of his older brother
