If you are looking for one of the best cyberpunk RPGs ever released, then you need to grab Shadowrun: Dragonfall, for only $14.99 on GOG.com.
I have a question and some possible concern. With the original Dragonfall expansion, it actually modified the game mechanics to make the original campaign better. Since the original Dragonfall campaign is no longer for sale, does this new stand alone Dragonfall do this too? I ask this, as the following paragraph is a little ambiguous in my opinion:

Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director’s Cut is a standalone release of Harebrained Schemes' critically-acclaimed Dragonfall campaign, which first premiered as a major expansion for Shadowrun Returns. The Director's Cut adds a host of new content and enhancements to the original game: 5 all-new missions, alternate endings, new music, a redesigned interface, team customization options, a revamped combat system, and more - making it the definitive version of this one-of-a-kind cyberpunk RPG experience. (emphasis mine)

When it says 'original', is it referring to just the original Dragonfall DLC, or is it referring to the original Shadowrun Returns campaign, or both? If it is only referring to Dragonfall and not Returns, did Returns get these changes in an update? Hopefully it is 'Yes' to at least one of these two questions, or they screwed over those of us who didn't get the original Dragonfall DLC yet.

I'm certain there are others wondering the same thing. This info will help.

Please, just actual knowledge. Guesses don't help me. Thanks.

Smannesman: Terrible as that is, it does make me feel a bit better knowing someone else has the same issue :P
I think we need to ask GOG for some kind of compensation.

I will gladly accept all games released from today till the end of the year as "I'm sorry" gift.

Is the campaign from Shadowrun Returns included in this case?

as far i understood no.

search in the catalog the original game is still sold, it wouldn't be the case if the director's cut includes the Dead man switch campain. But that's just my understanding.

Thanks for replying so fast, and putting my mind at ease.
Doh! Here's I am about a month or so ago when this was on sale for 3.99 or 4.99...

"Oh wow the "real" Shadowrun campaign is dirt cheap! I've been wanting to pick this up. But I'm not in the mood and I have a lot on my gaming table for the moment. I'm sure I'll grab it sometime soon..."

Idiot! ;)
I played Shadowrun returns on Steam (back then they said there would be no GoG version) and enjoyed it however I felt that the story should've stopped at the funeral and the rest of the game felt a bit like filler.
Does anyone know how good the story is in this one?

Edit: grammar

No more spinning wheel of doom on my end. =)
Woohoo! A free version!

So glad I bought that DLC :D
Thank you for the free code, GOG! :-)
So, I haven't installed Shadowrun Returns yet. I am assuming that, now, I should not install the Dragonfall DLC and just go right to the Director's Cut stand-alone, right? Also, just to clarify, this Director's Cut, while a stand-alone title/install, will also add features to the base Shadowrun Returns game as well?

EDIT: Also, thanks so much for the free code, GOG. I love you guys!

I enjoyed the heck out of it myself. Found it to be far and away better than Dead Man's Switch in both plot and characterization, and I highly look forward to going through it again!

COVERS EYES! C'mon people. Don't forget to put SPOILER in your title, or at least before the spoiler content for those who haven't played it yet.
