The Grand Finale of the unforgettable Myst adventure.

Myst V: End of Ages, a triumphant ending to the most popular adventure series in history, is available now on GOG.com for only $9.99.

Myst V is the fifth and final installment in the Myst series. Once again, the player will explore amazing worlds, solve brain-twisting Cyan-made puzzles, and discover the last story of Myst universe. The game uses real-time 3D which gives the player control to freely move around all of the beautiful Ages, but there's also a “Classic” mode which uses the same controls used in Myst and Riven and finally a “Classic Plus” mode which is somewhere in between the two. 3D-modeled characters (created using motion-capture of live actors) look and feel lifelike; the backgrounds, as with all Myst games, carry a sense of greatness and magnificence; and original orchestrated score helps the game reach a peak of perfection in emotional adventure gaming.

This is a great return for Rand Miller and Cyan Worlds to a familiar territory, but still a sad one, since every puzzle solved brings you one step closer to completion. The final part of the series has the story and puzzles to keep you absorbed until you make the final choice that will decide your fate and the fate of many others. Myst V is a worthy successor and one of the rare games thats imagination and beauty will be never lost in time, a fitting end to one of the best-selling computer series of all time.

Decide the fate of a civilization in Myst V: End of Ages, an epic adventure for only $9.99 on GOG.com.
Great new release and all but...

What exactly is going to happen with 3 and 4? GOG is jumping right from the second game to the 5th?

Myst III? Revelation?
I WAS NEVER able to get this! THANKS a TON!
I'm guessing the 3rd and 4th game isn't here yet due to legal issues?

I want Myst III and IV, GOG :<

That's right, they aren't here because Cyan had no part in creating them. Ubisoft owns and developed Myst 3&4, so Cyan and Ubisoft would have to make a distribution deal to see them here.

whoops Ubisoft only developed 4, another studio did 3, but Ubisoft published and probably owns it.

They have split IP rights for both...

Naw, GOG were just like "fuck you gamers lolololol"
Just fyi: "soundtracks" is spelled "souldtracks" in the game card.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm guessing the music just leans more towards a classic African American genre - "soul" - and GOG wanted to let people know this.

From the gamecard: "Picking up immediately where original Myst ended..."

How true is that statement? Is it really (a more or less) direct continuation of the first game? If that's the case I may very well still pick this up - never played 2-4 (bought part two in the Christmas sale, but haven't played it yet).

That is not quite right. The correct chronological order is:
Myst, Riven, Myst 3 Exile, Myst 4 Revelations, URU: ages beyond myst, Myst 5. You could skip right from Riven to 5, and not miss out on a whole lot of the backstory for Myst 5, as 3 & 4 tell different stories, but going from Myst 5 to 4 might partially spoil the story for 4. There is one very important character in Myst 3 & 4 that also has a central role in Myst 5, that don't get introduced until 3.

Actually Presto Studios did Myst 3. They are the people behind the Journeyman Project games which are already here. So I don't think it's due to licensing issues. It might be that Myst 5 was reasonably easy to get to work on Win 7 while Myst 3 and 4 could have presented a few problems in QA...

Thanks for clearing that up. Well, I guess that's good enough for me. Time to play the first two then (it's been long enough since I played the original) before I head to the last part. That is, when I find the time to do that. Heh.
