Do you remember the time when your dad took you on the big ride of which every kid was terrified of?

In RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe it’s time for payback, for all of the Slurpees you’ve vomited, countless hot dogs and memorabilia you’ve dropped. Now you can design roller coasters yourself, and inflict the same horror on (virtual) others. Ranging from little merry-go-round, to enthralling and breathtaking rides, RollerCoaster Tycoon puts you in the position where you manage every little aspect of your roller coaster park. From food joints to toilets, from info kiosks to balloon stands, and from garbage cans to fancy statues, the facilities are only the beginning. The next step is to enroll a well organized army of engineers, custodians, and security guards to keep things running smoothly, cleanly and safely ;) Decorate the park with flowers, plants, or even the famous “RollerCoaster Tycoon's Amazing Jumping Fountains”! So what are you waiting for? Summer's here, and whether it's scorching hot out or raining cats and dogs you can always boot up Roller Coaster Tycoon and have fun terrorizing — er, that is "entertaining" — your guests.

Pick it up now for $5.99 and get busy designing the ultimate thrill ride!

Roller Coaster Tycoon: Deluxe includes the two expansions: Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes.
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD :D
I have two Windows 7 machines and I installed this GOG version on both of them - only one works. The other one (x64) just gives me a "Closing Railroad Tycoon Deluxe" message box with a loading bar. After the bar finishes loading it just quits to my desktop. I've tried fiddling with my resolution, running as administrator, re-installing to different drive, etc. etc. Nothing fixes it. Anyone else have this problem?

*EDIT*
Well I figured out the solution. I ended up having to run RCT.EXE in Windows 98 / Windows ME compatibility mode and then it booted up and closed fine. If I use the launcher it boots up fine but I still get a weird "Closing Railroad Tycoon Deluxe" message on close.

KavazovAngel: Never played it. Personally, I'd love to see The Movies here. Don't think any DD is selling it.
Yes, I'd like to see both the Movies and Quake 4 on some sort of service. I'm surprised Activision didn't try to put them out to them

TM is available at GG, but only the Mac version.
I had to force myself to stop playing RCT after downloading it here. It was far too addictive, and I was staying up late into the morning. Now I'm playing Oblivion and doing the same thing! Hooray for progress!

Funny story =D Hmmm... I would get back to RCT then :P
I own RCT3, is there anything the original has over 3?

The first two Rollercoaster Tycoon games are almost carbon copies of each other, but quite different from part 3. Most notably, this game has a detailed 2D isometric view, while the third one is a 3D game. This is another example of a series that should have stayed in 2D, which works perfectly for this type of game, I think. I never really got into RCT3, in my opinion the first two parts are much better.

I am very tempted to quote a meme in regards to how The movies got released onto GG (and I like Gamer's Gate too). You know what, I will:
Activision, Y U no release PC The Movies on GG?
What are they using to run this RCT game? (ie many others use DosBox).

I own this game already but it doesn't work for me on Win7 even with compatibility mode settings. I definately would like to get this cause it has both expansion packs included (i only have Corkscrew Follies). I also have many parks I made saved somewhere that I'd like to see again.

GOG uses DOSBox for DOS titles.
If a game has both a Windows and DOS version, they offer the Windows version if they can get it to work easily enough, or the DOS version if that's the easier option.

ScummVM is used if compatible (not applicable to Rollercoaster Tycoon)

To answer your question more directly, they're not using an emulator of any kind. It's running natively in windows. What problem do you encounter in Windows 7 by the way?
