Do you remember the time when your dad took you on the big ride of which every kid was terrified of?

In RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe it’s time for payback, for all of the Slurpees you’ve vomited, countless hot dogs and memorabilia you’ve dropped. Now you can design roller coasters yourself, and inflict the same horror on (virtual) others. Ranging from little merry-go-round, to enthralling and breathtaking rides, RollerCoaster Tycoon puts you in the position where you manage every little aspect of your roller coaster park. From food joints to toilets, from info kiosks to balloon stands, and from garbage cans to fancy statues, the facilities are only the beginning. The next step is to enroll a well organized army of engineers, custodians, and security guards to keep things running smoothly, cleanly and safely ;) Decorate the park with flowers, plants, or even the famous “RollerCoaster Tycoon's Amazing Jumping Fountains”! So what are you waiting for? Summer's here, and whether it's scorching hot out or raining cats and dogs you can always boot up Roller Coaster Tycoon and have fun terrorizing — er, that is "entertaining" — your guests.

Pick it up now for $5.99 and get busy designing the ultimate thrill ride!

Roller Coaster Tycoon: Deluxe includes the two expansions: Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes.
thank you gog! =D
Woah. I lost so many hours (days even) to this game when it was originally released. I absolutely loved it, and was one of the few games I always made sure to hold onto the discs of so I could keep playing on occasion years later. Great game, and definitely worth $6.

Awesome release!
Oh, man, so much time wasted as a kid playing this game. Me and my brother loved it, and we used to take turns playing through the demo. (About 30 minutes). Then we got the retail copy... so many fond memories.
Hooray!
Was about to play this about a week ago, bu the version I had was bugged and crashed sometimes, I thought I'll wait for GOG version, and here it is!

So many memories over this one. Like building a complete coaster that "coincidentally" is built over a deep lake. Starting the coaster full of peeps., pausing, and then removing tracks...ah, good times.

IMO RCT1 is the best of the lot. RTC2 is really just a quick and dirty sequel and has the amazingly-bad design decision of not allowing the player to charge peeps to enter the park(!) And RCT3 is still a mess over a bunch of expansions and patches, cripped by obnoxious peep AI (where, for example, a bottle of sunscreen is always far more exciting that any of your rides).
how does roller 1 compares to second and third one. this is the only version i played besides both theme parks.
Awesome game and great price. :)

It's probably the best of them, IMO. Played all 3 and 3 was way too much of a Theme Park wannabe, 2 had too many useless and awkwardly implemented bits (such as constructing building shapes etc) 1 is pretty brutal though when it comes to money. I tend to find I spend a fair bit of time constructing coasters bit by bit towards the end of their build, every piece pushing me into the red and then out again. I've tried paying off the loan asap (which isn't really worth paying off as it's not much p/m), maxing it out etc etc. Tried charging for rides and for entrance but then you spend a lot of time adjusting ride prices up & down. Tip is to remember to use advertising, ride vouchers etc from time to time to boost your population if you need to for the goals but don't go OTT or your park rating drops sharply from overcrowding.
A true classic, and the game that started the whole "Tycoon Game" revival of the late 90's.
RT2 won't be far behind.
RT3 I don't expect soon, since it is still in print and easily avaiable.
Now if GOG can get the Railroad Tycoon games, and the rest of the City Builder series we will be cooking....
AWESOME! Does that mean we might get Roller Coaster Tycoon 2?
IM POOR!!!!!!! :(
instant buy!
Truly an instant buy. Thanks GOG, this is one of the games I've been waiting for.
