Last call! We're running out of Pots of Gold! ;-)

Heads up! Here's your last chance to take advantage of our special offer. Saint Patrick's Day has come and gone, but such a great holiday should be celebrated all week long. That's exactly what we did with our [url=http://www.gog.com/luckoftheirish]Luck of The Irish soon-to-end special build-your-own-bundle promo! For only 20 more hours you can pick 5 out of 25 remarkable games and create your very own dream bundle up to 90% off. Feeling lucky? Add a "Pot of Gold" to your selection! What's in the pot? Who knows? Maybe it's one of the games off your wishlist? Maybe it's one of the BIG titles? You can even select 5 pots at once to receive a special bundle built for you entirely by our relatively friendly GOG-Leprechauns!

This is your last call, as this fantastic offer will be available only until Friday, March 21, at 10:59AM GMT.

Don't miss out, and Sláinte!
Not a bad promo - two games i want on the list at least, but I'm not in a position this week to have the disposable income to spend on three random others.
Hope this idea gets recycled at some point though.
I sure hope others do better than me on the "Pot o Gold" thing. 5 games I'm not sure I would've bought had they been on sale for $1.00. lol

Some folks win, some folks are named OldFatGuy. LOL
Holly cow, did not expect a promo like this.

*decisions... decisions*

mudd1: This sale makes two of GOG's shortcoming painfully clear:

1) I own half of the games through Humble Bundle so picking them one at random will likely give me a game that I already own but not even as a gift code because GOG doesn't know about my Humble library. Also, manually checking what I already got is very annoying.

snip
Please name one - just a single one - other DDS that does take into account your game library at other stores.

Maighstir: Annoying. The "Luck of the Irish" promo page refuses to display via https but instead redirects to http, meaning it doesn't see me as logged in. Just my luck, I guess.
Tell me about it, I succumbed and logged in with my back up Firefox browser where I don't have HTTPS Everywhere installed.
I'm interested only in Spelunky, but the GOG version doesn't contain the daily challenge, so I must skip.

Accatone: Or if you look at your games after you receive a game update notice, you'll notice that GOG automatically counts your games for you! :)
Or install Barefoot Essentials and then it tells you the game total always. :)

best get "OldFatGuy's unlucky leper-rechaun trade thread" up and running! ;)

Niggles: Too open to people just rerolling til they get the games they want.No fun in that (and yes u could end up getting games u didnt want...so be it.)
Call me crazy, but fun is spending money and getting games that you want. ;)
That feel when you've already spent too much on a promo, but want the last 2 games you are missing. Decisions.
Wow, nice promo! It's splendid to have options. We're so spoiled. ^^

Games I picked up:

* Avadon (been on the wishlist for a while)
* Avadon 2 (was planning to go on the wishlist as soon as I got the first one)
* Critter Chronicles (I loved BoUT but the sequel/prequel was too expensive for me at list price)
* Expeditions: Conquistador (been on the wishlist for a while)
* Dust (was on the wishlist for a while, just recently pruned it with regret, now I get to play, yay!)

Sometimes the games they select for promos are not very interesting for me, but this one was just right. I have no need to resort to pots of gold, with enough games I can handpick to enjoy, hehe. This brightened up my Friday morning!

so true ^^ ^^;;
Testing my luck part 2.
The Leprechauns brought me :
- Giana Sisters = Rise of the Owlverlord
- Puddle
- Avernum: the complete saga
- Aqua Kitty : Milk Mine Defender
- Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs attack

Quite happy with the outcome. Only one problem : my backlog has just grown.

Starmaker: Do you have only one pot and four games you don't yet have in your Irish cart? If there are more pots, try reducing the number of pots.
avatar
Novotnus: There are at least two games I don't have and even if I add one pot to my bundle it gives me a game I already have.
I'll try again later, maybe it's some kind of bug.
You need 5 games to check out. Are you absolutely sure you don't have anything you already have in the cart? I just rerolled pots a dozen times over, and I keep getting "already own 5 games". Combined with previous data, I'm significantly sure I have every game on the secret list. Otherwise, it must be a bug =(
neat idea, but I was expecting games from my wishlist. (still, not bad, just about ANY game is worth $2.00) ;)

Lucky pot games:
Avernum: the complete saga (not from wishlist)
I have no mouth and I must scream
Giana Sisters: rise of the overlord.
Pot of Gold :

GIANA SISTERS: RISE OF THE OWLVERLORD
PENUMBRA COLLECTION, THE
ITTLE DEW

Bought:

HOTLINE MIAMI
ALAN WAKE

Pot of Gold = Worth it
Thanks :)
I can't win now, always end up with 2 games I already own in the pots. Even if the games are different (used that cheat to see which games were in the cart). I'd probably to be fair buy the games I'm not interested in to check out, but not so willing to get games I'll have to gift. Perhaps this is a not so subtle way of GOG getting people to be more generous with their gifting.

I think I'll go back to diving in my money bin and come back later and try :P
