Gotta be VtM

While most of my purchases have been nostalgia fueled, there are two that I have never heard of that I love: Arcanum and Divine Divinity. Fantastic games. I also have a few that I haven't played yet that look good. Another one that is not at all new but I found on GOG is Treasure Adventure Game. A great indie game.

I happened to think about this thread, was able to search and find it (surprisingly), and bumped it. :)

Well, in the meantime, I discovered, loved and played through VtM: Bloodlines, probably my second favorite RPG now. Oh, wait - I got it from DotEmu. :P

But I just played through the tutorial of System Shock 2 (which I wouldn't have known about, if it wasn't for GOG's wishlist) and I could imagine really enjoying that, too. I just have to ponder whether I'd like to play SS1 first in order to avoid spoilers and I also have to find out first which updates and mods I should use (if any at all) and which class to play ... Decisions, decisions, decisions, argh. ;)

Heard of but not played before, but bought at GOG and enjoyed:

So many games! I love Imperialsm. It is really incredible. Also, King of Dragon Pass really blew me away. The amount of story and detail they were able to put into the game is mind-boggling.

Duke Nukem 1+2. I missed them when they were first released, but I played them a couple months ago and had a blast! Also, Dangerous Dave and the Haunted Mansion was good, but tough.

Arcanum. I remember a long time ago I read a review for this game somewhere when I was looking into the Fallout games, but other than that, I knew nothing about the game. It went on a promo here on GOG, though, and I picked it up. I don't regret it at all.

Septerra Core. I really had never heard of this one before, and while I have yet to finish it, I consider it to be one of the better games I've gotten here.

realMyst. Okay, I don't consider this game to be the greatest thing ever, nor do I truly believe it is the greatest adventure ever to be created. But, I did enjoy it a great deal, and I wouldn't have been able to do that without GOG.

Beneath a Steel Sky and Broken Sword. I am usually very leery of adventure games, and I'll admit I would never have purchased these. But having gotten them both for free (BaSS because it is permanently free, Broken Sword because it was free for a while), I am glad to say had I paid for them, I wouldn't regret the purchase.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Do I need to explain this one?

I'm still new to PC gaming(late last year I got my first PC) so I'm playing all of these wonderful classics for the first time :)

While I didn't purchase all of these on GOG and lucked out on physical copies of some, I did discover these thanks to GOG:
Wing Commander 1 + 2, Ultima VII, Sacrifice, Interstate '76, Rayman 2: The Great Escape, Disciples: Sacred Lands, ArmA: Cold War Assault, Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars, Tyrian 2000, and Outcast.

I'm genuinely interested in what people find worthwhile that GOG has "preserved".

King of Dragon Pass. Numerous hours spent trying to increase cattle size by raiding/trading/sacrificing.
