Licurg: This 21 year-old would like to remind you that you forgot Sacrifice :)

gameon: Woah, i didn't realise you were that age. I thought you were younger.
LOL :) Why?
Despite the amount of time I've been registered here, I don't really have all that many games through the site for a variety of reasons (originally because I owned most of the collection, more recently financial issues etc.) Still, there are a few amazing games I've had the priviledge of playing.

One game which completely flew under my radar until I was given it (along with the rest of the forum I think) by mr wpegg was Sacrifice. I think it didn't interest me from the description because I just thought of it as being an RTS, which I'm generally awful at, but the game hooked me immediately and for a long time - very very rare for me to finish playing a game then start replaying it straight away.

Also Pandora Directive. I loved Under a Killing Moon, played it years ago but I was actually ignorant of the sequel(s) until a few years ago. It may have aged fairly badly graphically and some of the gaming concepts are a bit outdated, but it's still an excellent game.

Well the only way of judging age by text is the use of language and stuff like that.

But i usually think people are younger than they are. One person i guessed was way older than i thought, lol.

tfishell: No worries, I haven't played too many 90's games from here, either.

Leroux: Well, I didn't mean to say I haven't played many 90's games, it's just that I've played most of the ones that interested me way before discovering GOG. ;)
That's what I meant, too. :) Some of my worst memories are NOT having a 3D accelerator card (on a Win95 machine, and not understanding how to change Lego Island to software emulation), and eventually getting a used computer with a Matrox G200 card around '01and having that whack out after a few months. (Blue Screen of Death)

But I still enjoyed the 90s games I over-promote here. ;-)
So far...

Beneath A Steel Sky for its setting, great gameplay and sharp, sarcastic wit (with voices!)
Teenagent is a riot.
Waxworks is fun, challenging, and I can stomach its graphic death scenes! XD
realMyst - Although I have played a bit of the original Myst before GOG, I played realMyst from start to finish, and I felt so great when I did.

(Work In Progress)
Deus Ex.

I never played it passed the outside of the statue of liberty and never gave it a change past installing it once and never touching it back in the day (free game with my GPU)

since i got it ive have a great time playing it and im enjoying my time as JC Denton!
The one that comes to mind is. drum roll!
Witch: On it boss!
*one drum roll later.*
The one and only space rangers 2! Fun little game that has a been of everything. Never heard of it before, i came to gog. Space battles, mini rts game, text base adventurers and other stuff. starting out with a little bit of money and a ship. Slowly working your way up into the ship of your dreams and mass robot killing. the only thing wrong with robots, they can not bleed, scream or feel pain.
probably a game that I discovered here would be Raptor: Call of the Shadows and it's not one of my fave shoot 'em up game.
Pre-2000, discovered here and enjoyed, let's see:

The Incredible Machine series
The Original Jagged Alliance (ok, I had played the second one before which is very similar)
Blood
Another World (ok, the version is recent, but my understanding is that it's a remastered version of a much older game)
Raptor: Call of the Shadows
MDK
Shogo: Mobile Armor Division
Simon the Sorceror
Die by the Sword (still prefer Jedi Knight II as the ultimate sword fighting experience though)
Moto Racer
Moto Racer 2

My gaming only really ramped up over the last 10 years, so I'd missed quite a few great games from before that time. Fortunately GOG has been slowly rectifying that. Some of the particularly good games I discovered through GOG are:

Master of Magic
Gothic and Gothic 2
Age of Wonders series
Disciples 1&2
Beyond Good and Evil
Psychonauts (didn't initially buy it through here, but was recommended it on these forums based on my enjoyment of BG&E)
Crusader series
Freespace 2
Spellforce
Anachronox.

I played the demo ages ago, but I didn't understand it at all.
Just wanted to say thanks for the replies, it was interesting to read. :) (Minor bump, too I guess.)
