flubbucket: First off we have eight votes.
Vitek: Damn you, folks! I asked to not lynch him before he gets some chance to post.
flubbucket: And this is why I should have held off on the reveal. I think there is enough information in previous Days that it is not catastrophic, but it certainly was a misplay on my part. My apologies.
flubbucket: Secondly @Kryspyn we could have a race cop/flavor cop at work here or worse still a traitor.
The race or flavor cop thing would make sense.
As for a traitor, assuming you mean either me or RWarehall ... it would also make sense, but, unless I am reading RWarehall wrong, we are both a little confused and baffled at the prospect.
Let me break down how the conversation went in our chat on Night 3:
1) RWarehall volunteers to send the PM in the first post of the Night.
2) I agree that RWarehall would be a good choice for the PM, since, as a role-claimed investigator, scum would have to consider that he might be protected. I suggest TwilightBard and Robbeasy as good choices for an investigation. My reasoning hinges mostly only how they stayed so quiet through most of Day 3, then just showed up to add votes on the Ix wagon after it didn't matter. Especially TwilightBard, with his 11th vote, just seemed like scum trying to look like town after the fact. I also noted Telika would have been a good choice, to confirm if Cult is active in the game (he might have been an obvious choice for culting, after RWarehall cleared him), however, Telika was 5th on the Ix wagon. Dead smack in the middle of a wagon is an odd place for a scumbuddy to vote, not impossible, but still out of the ordinary in my experience.
3) RWarehall agrees with my reasoning about TwilightBard and Robbeasy, also noting that the way TB wanted to lynch a potential investigator 'to make sure' was also very scummy.
4) Red_Baron says that he can see reason in investigating both TwilightBard and Robbeasy. Red_Baron has a lot of analysis about various parts of the game (which I am cutting because this is already getting long), then he says that he would rather we investigate Vitek. He thinks Vitek is acting out of character. ((I think some of his argument stemmed from an OMGUS reaction since Vitek had targeted him during Day 3)) Red_Baron consludes by saying that he thinks RWarehall is likely not scum, because he volunteered to send the PM. Scum would not be able to stop an investigation by killing the investigator if the the person sending the PM was, in fact, their mole.
5) I note that Vitek (re)started the wagon on Ix, and at the end of the lynch Ix, confirmed scum, seemed rather antagonistic towards Vitek. For both of these reasons, I didn't think Vitek was the best choice on Night 3.
6) Red_Baron notes that, though he didn't make the first vote, he was the first to bring up Ix again in post 792.
7) Rwarehall says that he is sending in the vote for TwilightBard.
8) Both Red_Baron and I post to say that we are fine with that.
9) YourSupremeOverlord posts in the thread that TwilightBard is Gorak and evil, and that it is now Day.
I just am not seeing any sort of scummy behavior of any sort trying to change our investigate target. Red_Baron's reasoning for wanting to investigate Vitek, maybe, but he is confirmed town now. The only option, in my mind, that allows for anything scummy, is if one of us has the ability to change what results the moderator posts in the thread. I guess we will know when the Sun sets.
flubbucket: But a question for those smarter and less handsome than me...why would the investigation race also have a vigilante and what would balance that??
I have no idea. However, more importantly in my mind, it suggests that role information is not given to us on player death. We only get the dead player's race and alignment (which is obvious in retrospect, I guess).
Pre-post edit:
amok: Do you have full control over all the members of your race (considering Flub's reports earlier of how his race chat has been...) and do you think your (remaining) terran partner is corrupted or not?
Control? Do you mean do we know who everyone is? The assumption is yes, given how AFP said that the absent member of the race chat on Night 1 was IShoot4Lolz (aka me), and 3 other people were posting in the thread.
As to the second part of your question, I have noted that RWarehall's voting and posting history, here and in the race chat, have all been pro-town to me. In other words, he has not behaved in a manner that I would expect scum to act, given what has transpired.
amok: I would prefer if you can give your answer in either morse code, or through the medium of dance.
Too bad. ;)
