Game rules ‘borrowed’ and slightly adapted from CSPVG, who borrowed them from JoeSapphire, whom I’m sure ‘borrowed’ them from lots of other people.
Rules:
1. A_Future_Pilot is the moderator of this game. His word is law.
2. If you have any questions or requests don’t be shy to speak up. This can be done by either PMing directly, or asking/ requesting something in the game thread. All requests and questions in the thread, however, must be in bold.
3. All votes should be bolded, e.g Vote: A_Future_Pilot. If you are currently voting for one player and would like to vote for another, you are required to unvote. Unvotes must also be bolded, e.g. Unvote: A_Future_Pilot. You may only vote for one living player at a time. If a player receives the majority of votes, they will be lynched with immediate effect. The night phase will then commence.
4. During the night phase no one is allowed to post in the game thread. Any night actions should be PM'd directly to me (A_Future_Pilot).
5. Once you’ve been lynched, you are dead. Unlike most mafia games however, that does NOT mean you stop taking part in the game. You will be PM'd with instructions once dead.
6. Do not edit your posts. Editing your post may result in a modkill (or at least a beating from the edit elves). Please be aware that you should not post multiply times within ten minutes. This will cause the forum to merge your posts, which will result in them being listed as ‘edited’. This too may result in a modkill (or an edit elves beating).
7. Do not paraphrase too directly from or directly quote your role PM.
8. This is game #21’s thread and as such all discussion, voting or other game related activity must occur within this thread or through PM’s sent to or from the moderator (or elsewhere as specified in your PMs).
9. Every player is obliged to post at least once every 48 hours. If a player does not post a message within that space of time, they will receive a prod from the moderator. Furthermore, if you as a player believe for whatever reason that you will not be able to post for an extended period of time, or even if you can no longer participate in the game, please notify the moderator in game thread or via PM.
10. Mafia is a game based on argumentation. People will most likely question your sincerity, talk to you in a belligerent or sometimes accusatory manner, or poke fun at some of the things you will say. The reverse of this, of course, is that players should not sink to the depths of personally insulting one another. It’s a game, have fun.
11. This is an interesting variation of mafia. At different times (specified in your PMs) you may speak amongst your separate races. Be forewarned, however, that there is no guarantee that your fellow race members are of like mind as you, so speak guardedly.
12. Just so there is no confusion, if you are good (town, against the evil) your PM will have this line in it:
CONDITION REQUIRED TO WIN:
You must wipe out those who have already been swayed by the spreading evil.
If you are bad (mafia, swayed by the evil) your PM will have this line in it:
CONDITION REQUIRED TO WIN:
The number of surviving evil players must be more than or equal to the number of non-swayed players.

The Flavor:
The political climate on Ganymede was, to say the least, restless. For time out of mind the Zyrphan had cultivated the earth, built their homes, wed, raised young, and died on the soil of Ganymede. Then, in the Third Age, visitors arrived. The Terrans were a strange people. They had strange ships, strange customs, and strange ideas. But strangest of all, their minds were silent. Despite their strangeness, the Zyrphan welcomed the Terrans with open arms, and chose to co-exist, and in time the races even grew to like each other - or at the least, tolerate each other.
It was in the twilight of the Third Age that the Gorak appeared. They came crawling from the caves and crevices of Ganymede, seeking the sun. They told us they had been living at the planet's core for millenium, and had chosen this time to rise from the depths and claim the earth that was rightfully theirs. The Zyrphan wished to work out a compromise with the Gorak, but the Terrans refused, and the Zyrphan-Terran aliance which had stood for centuries began to crumble.
In the dawn of the Fourth Age the Elroidan ships were seen in the sky and the races of Ganymede trembled. The Elroidan sorcerers sought out the dead, and the screams of ghouls began to fill the once quite nights. The Elroi had not come for the living however, and though they struck terror into the hearts of the citizens of Ganymede, if left unprovoked they rarely harmed anyone.
The rulers of the four races began to meet to decide the fate of Ganymede, since it was clear that peaceful cohabitation was no longer an option. The place of these proceedings was unknown, but rumors abounded. It was at one of these secret gatherings, as accusations were being hurled, and discussion was devolving to squabble that the Arbiter stood in the midst of the assembly.
“Welcome, my friends, to the end of the world. Each of you have been gathered here – the rulers of your races – to decide the fate of this planet. These proceedings, however, may play an even larger role than you now know. It is with a heavy heart that I bring word of a sinister nature to this congress. Throughout the fourth age you have struggled to maintain this fragile peace between your races, while unbeknownst to you, there has been another power at work. Gathered in this very room is the heart of this evil power, and it is up to you to decide whether your innocent races, or this dark malice, will gain control of Ganymede. Some of you here have already been swayed by it, and if it is not stopped here, it will spread throughout all of your people. Look to your neighbors – you think you can trust them, but you are mistaken. Destroy this evil now; wipe it clean by the blood of the guilty, or stand back and watch as everything you know and love comes to a grisly end.”
The Arbiter then vanished, leaving the elders staring at each other in confusion and distrust.
It is the start of day 1. Day 1 will last 17 days or until a lynch is reached.
