Sorry, meant unfortunate nightkill, not lynch. I'm tired. :)

Please do not edit your posts, not even to correct mistakes.

It's a game for new players, and it's not like the content of the thread is super-important right now, so I'm very lenient here, but I may have to enforce the rule once the game gets properly moving. Rāmatawhāiti it the wrathful type, you know.
I'll borrow a strategy from a veteran I've played with elsewhere, DDRgasm.

Voting for N0x0ss until he gets his ass in here and says something. This is not based on anything, it's just meant to be a wake-up call to him.
Just to be clear, as soon as N0x0ss comes in here and posts something, I will remove my vote for him.

Also, a vote tally to be helpful. Italics are a retracted or moved vote, numbers next to a voter are the voting order.

ViolatorX: 1 (nmillar [1])
GameRager: 1 (gameon [2])
nmillar: 1 (ViolatorX [3]
gameon: 1 (Gazoinks [4], IronStar [6])
Gazoinks: 1 (Vitek [5])
IronStar: 0 (Gazoinks [6])
NoLynch: 1 (Planeshaper [7])
N0x0ss: 1 (boct1584 [8])

boct1584: Also, a vote tally to be helpful.
Just as a reminder, I'll be doing these officially every once in a while, but thanks for the initiative!

boct1584: Urgh, I detest Day 1's without a prior nightkill. We literally have nothing to do on.

To be fair, a nightkill wouldn't tell us much either, since we know nothing about the game state and the players, but we'd at least be able to take guesses about who would want the nightkill dead.
Ah don't try this on me. I wonder over and over again what info people expect to gain from NK. It can almost always be played down as WIFOM and provides only minimal info. I heard this several times and usually next day those same people did nothing more. I think they just hope there will be some cop/watcher/RB/anything result to help them but it is long shot which shouldn't people expect. Well, lynch can be much better source of informations but is used to scarcely too, in my opinion.
Every lynch is a source of information. Remember, cardflip is ON, so everyone gets to see what everyone else is when they die.

(Not that it's relevant here, but I absolutely detest cardflip, both as a Mafia and a townie. As a townie, it's basically giving everyone in the game the role I know as Priest (ability to see alignment of dead people) which is ludicrously overpowered. As a Mafia, it makes faking a claim completely impossible, and means that if someone with an investigatory night role sees a kill, whoever was seen is guaranteed to be lynched.)
I didn't mean to edit my post...i forgot that it would merge posts.

I have to say that I agree to a certain degree with you. Although it's entirely possible that we have a good power role or a really unwise mafia, it's banking on a really small chance of something good happening, (as I said earlier) it's more likely that we'll end up with very little new info and essentially the same situation minus one person.
I think the main reason people want to go for a nolynch stage at this point is nervousness. Everyone's afraid of accidentally lynching a townie, especially since we have nothing to go on. That being said, I don't feel like a nolynch is necessarily the way to go, but neither (of course) is a quick lynch. We just need to keep talking until someone becomes suspicious, I suppose.
So, what that lengthy paragraph comes down to is: I don't feel like a nolynch has a good chance of coming up with enough info to avoid repeating the RVS stage, we should just keep going back and forth (and hope more people join the discussion) until we can build at least enough of a suspicion to get this moving. However, I repeat, randomly quick lynching someone is baaaad. We should take it slow and try not to get impatient, in my opinion.
Speaking of kicking people to speak up.

Have yet to see you grace the thread, matti also need you to lodge a post before my vote switchs to you.

Ive found games ive read without card flip to be rather stagnant in comparision, also for some first time players here I think it wouldnt help them solve the riddle of who is and isnt mafia.

Game 7 was hard as nobody had any infomation and we spent the entire game guessing who were the two mafia of nine, though tgis was made a lot harder with inactive players it was basically one side of people vs the other in opinions with not enough votes to create a wagon.

Am I the only one that thinks this sounds like scum complaining that the game favours town?
