Valrog: I'd like to join you guys. I'd need an invite to Google Wave, though. If someone has invites, my email is valrogm(at)gmail(dot)com.
But as Aliasalpha asked, what time do we do this? We're from all over the world.

Sent you a invite (it can take some time to get there).
As for the time, we'll see what can be done. I'll talk to our DM to see what campaign we'll use (how many players and time estimate) so we can then set something up.

Valrog: But as Aliasalpha asked, what time do we do this? We're from all over the world.

We need to know who is definitely up for this, then try and find a mid-point in time zones (perhaps weighting it in the favour of the GM?).
So far (from the bit under peoples names) we have UK, UAE, Canada, Czech Republic, Austrailia and Hong Kong.
Hmm.... this may be more difficult than I first thought! UK, UAE, Czech Rep. are are relatively near, HK and Aus are fairly close but far from the first group, and Canada is a bit of an outlier.
Maybe we could we make 2 groups, one west of GMT and the other east of GMT?
Perhaps we could get one started and someone will start the other one.
That seems like a good idea.
For Aliasalpha and Magnus: Which timezones are you in?
Canada and Australia are big places.
If Magnus is on the east coast, then he could be part of the UK/Czech group, if west coast then he can be part of the Hong Kong/Australia group.
Valrog, you would get to pick which group suits you best, since you're kind of in the middle (but perhaps slightly closer to UK/Czech).
Hmm, already tried to play D&D online with my friends in France (I'm in Japan), but it's hell concerning the time and it doesn't even remotely has the pleasure you can have on a real-life session.
So I wish you good luck, but i'll pass on this one.
Hmm, a buy in of $40 is a bit steep for FG (I'd not want to miss out on the features that I might use)

michaelleung: Dibs on DM! Though my lore-making skills have always been rusty if we start slowly I might do fine.

AndrewC: Off-topic but dude, check your email/steam account ;)

Awesome, wasn't expecting that! Just got on Steam after school.
So, what's the situation on this D&D thing? So we've kinda branched out into two games now based on time zone.
.... AND?
Well that was a suggestion, I still think if people list the times they might be available then we could work out if there's a common game time
Unless I get a job I'm pretty fluid as far as time goes

Yes, it's only 4 hours difference, so I normally play MP on UK servers. It should be fine for me.
I got the Wave invite now, thanks.

Don't worry about the time zone. Just get a game started and those who can't join due to the TZ will create another one.

I'd like to say that I'm available most of the time, though unplanned activities such as actual work (unlike the more common I'm-at-work-but-actually-have-nothing-to-do type of work) and sleep usually puts sticks in the wheels for my plans.
So, this wave thingamajig, do I already have access if I have a google account, or do I need to get an invite anyway?
Please to be sendink one to approximated -at- that gee mail dot com place, if I need one.

Valrog: Invite sent.

Hmm, I should have received it by now, don't you think? However, I haven't seen anything.
No, it takes some time. Check your email tomorrow.

I sent you another one just in case. Apparently its a slow process
"Invite others to Google Wave
Google Wave is more fun when you have others to wave with, so please nominate people you would like to add. Keep in mind that this is a preview so it could be a bit rocky at times.
Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick."
Sounds like you'll get it when google are/is ready

Ah thanks, I also applied for an invite through the wave intro page, and the google robot was kind enough to accept my request.
Thanks anyway... now, how do I use this newfangled whatsitsname email/irc/wiki thingy? I assume I'll need to be invited to take part of anything that has already been created.
