As our catalog gets bigger and better every week, it’s easy to lose track of some of the awesome games that we have to offer. Of course Fallout, Baldur’s Gate, and some other of our most popular titles will always get a lot of attention, but GOG has many more classics to bring you. To help encourage you to explore the dustier reaches of GOG’s catalog, we’re going to be offering a promo on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Think of it as a curated promo on some of GOG’s favorite titles that you may not have played. Whether we’re encouraging you to explore incredible new worlds or inviting you to see how a titanic series got its start, we think every game we’re going to be offering on our GOG Gem Promos will be an excellent title, and we hope you give them all a try.

UPDATE: because of the site maintenance we're prolonging the Gem Promo for 1 hour. It ends at 7:59 a.m. EDT (11:59 GMT).

It's the first Wednesday of May and we have another bargain deal for you featuring an adventure game like no other. Syberia, by a famous Belgian comic artist and game developer Benoit Sokal, is considered by many the game that saved the point and click adventures genre. As Kate Walker, young and ambitious lawyer, you're set to negotiate the takeover of an old toy factory. What seems an easy task, ends up as a journey across Europe to reach the far lands of Syberia. Critically acclaimed, the game is perfect in every element featuring beautiful art nouveau and steampunk designs, intelligent and gripping script, intriguing main character and very good soundtrack. We believe everyone should try this game and with the 60% discount it's a no-brainer.

Grab Syberia today for only $3.99! The promo ends tomorrow, May 5 at 6:59 a.m. EDT (10:59 p.m. GMT).

Darn, a game I'd love to get, and can't as have no money until my benefits clear on monday >_< damn you for short promo's GoG >_<
Well, judging from the screen shots, it looks great, and here on GOG it appears to have garnered quite a lot of praise.
Funny thing... I do like a good adventure every now and then, but somehow I never really had a closer look at this one. Sounds stupid, I know, but I think the main reason for this was the weird cover art it had here in Europe... still makes me cringe. Something about that robot face... I can't put my finger on it, but it subconsciously must have sent the wrong message for me ;)
Still pondering, but I think I'll give it a try this time.
why must gog always do one day promo's for games that I already own?

YOU'RE TEARING ME APART GOG

okay, decided... one for me and one for the gifting box :)
Nice game but I own the DVD
Darn it! I must resist another impulse buy. I think...I think I can, this time. Maybe someday, GOG. Someday, this and Syberia 2...
Interested in this but as I already own the DVD with both Syberia, I'll pass. I'll buy it when both titles will be discounted. I'm not in a hurry.

Otherwise, this is a great game. Everyone interested in adventures games should buy it.
Already own Syberia 1 & 2. Got it from GOG a while ago.

Brilliant game! I highly recomend it.

Lovely promo, GOG.

Yayy! Finally a GOG Gem promo for something I don't own!!

Also, not on my wishlist, so this is getting me to try something new . . . well played, GOG, well played. ;-)
if i did not already have this then i would buy it, great game at the price
Couldn't pass this up for $4, now it is on my shelf
The first one is one of the best adventure games IMO. Already own both of them on disk though.
Great deal for a nice game, but as I all ready got the DVD...
How difficult is this game? Adventure games have always intrigued me, and I like a good story, but I've only played a few in my lifetime, and I'm usually not that great at them.
