mushu: If GoG is using foreign banks for financial stuff, I'll need to stop ording games from them. My bank charged me a foreign transaction fee, and when I investigated it is because the charge came from NICOSIA CY (Cyprus)??? Seriously?? What does GoG have to say about that? Can I charge that back to you? Sheesh, a little transparency up front would have been the customer-oriented thing to do..

Trilarion: Come on. GOG isn't exactly a US company (or are they?) and we are all foreigners somewhere. Your transaction fee (1-2% right?) is probably nothing that makes your purchases incredibly expensive. So now you know and you can decide if you want to buy games for that somewhat not very much higher price and if not just don't. I have to pay that fee too and I also would have if it was an american bank. Cyprus is just a respectable although somewhat in trouble place and island in the mediterrean sea, nothing wrong with that.

However I agree that GOG should extend its Terms of Use (http://www.gog.com/support/policies/terms_of_use) especially section "Payment and Prices" and point out that they use a Cyprusian (is this the right word) bank account which might result in additional fees, ask your bank etc. I just don't think that it's a big deal.

How can someone assume that every company in the world has it's seat/headquarter/bank connection in the US? Just check Wikipdia and the first sentence says it all (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GOG.com).
I think the point is that for some of us, one bank will charge the fee and another one won't.I've bought nearly 150 games here and1or2% would add to at least one game.

teabow: I know I'll have to pay transfer fees when buying things abroad UNLESS I'm using PayPal, which I do whenever possible. Still sucks though.

Actually, it's just how my name is pronounced in English. (Thibault)
