shmerl: I don't have Windows installed at home at all and do all my gaming on Linux (and DRM-free with that). So if no DRM-free Linux version of Witcher 3 is coming out - no preorder from me. And if it is coming - I don't mind preordering to show support.

What I find strange is, that GOG announcement about Witcher 3 happened just a few days ago, and they didn't say a single word about Linux. That's why I'd rather wait for their confirmation than rely on assumptions (which are realistic, I agree).
Yeah, it's probably because they don't yet have Linux support integrated into the website and haven't made any game specific Linux claims at all yet until the Linux service launches. I'm not sure if they specified Mac would be supported either though but I think it's a rather safe assumption in either case for both platforms.

Every time I see "The Witcher" written somewhere now I just want to see the damn game hehehe. I wonder how much it'll bog my system down at full resolution (2560x1600)... I have a strong feeling I'm going to have to lower the res and effects for playability on this one even though I have a rather beefy system. ;o)

They should make another spinoff game called "The Witcher Waiter" to kill idle time waiting for TW3 to come out. Or perhaps that's what the new Adventure game is for? ;oP

There is a parody called "The Bitcher" btw, though definitely NSFW.

shmerl: Do you know how long will preorder for the Wither 3 be active?
I PMed Judas and he said till the game comes out. So you can take your time =)
Hello folks!

I have a very simple question:

I am a great fan of Artbooks. But i want them in cabinet in physical form - not just digital.
Only, i have no desire to own "yet another" figurine. i only really want the artbook.

Will there be a way to order the artbook as a stand alone? or another way to get the artbook?

I mean this obviously for the Witcher 3.

Cool, so no rush to get it right away then. In that case I think I'll hold off until it nears release and go from there. A lot can happen between now and then promo-wise etc. Going to be one of the most gruelling waits for a game release in some time for me though. ;o)

Exactly. Also really good news for those who have to limit their gaming budget (like moi :D).

Yeah, some fun mods with other characters besides Geralt are always welcome :)
Haven't seen any definite answers to it, so...
I have been thinking about getting TW3 Collectors edition, but does the physical copies have third party DRM or cd checks, etc. embedded into it - does anyone know?

Edit, nevermind, found out - Maybe i need glasses ;)

The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red has made it abundantly clear there will be no DRM associated with The Witcher 3 on PC, if bought in a box or from game-download shop GOG.com (Steam is its own kind of DRM, and The Witcher 3 will definitely be on Steam).
