We're fighting the depressing weather that announces the inevitable approach of autumn with an awesome weekend promo!

Not so long ago we had the Atari-Hasbro games on promo, and this weekend we're putting the 20(!) remaining titles from Atari on offer! So how about getting some of the greatest classics from the Atari catalogue with a flat 50% discount? Get a half-off on The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (only $4.99), Roller Coaster Tycoon series, Outcast ($2.99), Master of Orion series, Alone in the Dark games ($2.99 each) and more! No matter how many games you buy, you get the 50% discount. Check the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/atari_collection]promo page to see the whole offer and don't wait as the promo ends on Monday, October 17 at 11:59 a.m. EDT.
This was an excellent sale. 11 purchases here... (I don't do Star Control, trains, or rollercoasters.)

$2.99 for a GOG version of a game I already have is usually good enough to get me to bite, for convenience of no longer needing the original CD.

ktchong: Would be nice if I can just buy the soundtracks of some particular games but not the games themselves.

I am not really interested in playing Total Annihilation and Kingdoms. Their gameplay does not appeal to me, and I have not interest in adding them to my GOG bookshelf. However, I love their soundtracks by Jeremy Soule.
$2.99 is not much for the soundtrack alone neither. You could quite easily buy them just for the soundtracks and still feel as if you got a bargain.

Gonchi: I bought Outcast in the end. I'd been meaning to pick it up for a while, came close not too long ago on eBay, and I don't think I'll get a better price than $3.

Getting the Alone in the Dark games would have been nice, but I really couldn't see myself replaying them any time soon and I really shouldn't even have bought Outcast, so some other time maybe.
I wasn't first supposed to get Outcast because I have the CD-ROM version, but then I remembered (and googled) that the original seemed to have quite a lot of issues on modern machines, starting from installation. Well, somehow I have been able to install it on my XP laptop in the past, maybe I used some installation fix or something, I don't remember... anyway, about 2€ for a (more or less) hassle-free version + no-CD was more than enough perk for me. I have yet to complete the game so I need to re-install it.

Alone in the Dark 1-3 I got because AitD 1 is the only one of those I have completed, I could see myself at least triyng the other two for the old times sake at least. I have no idea how they are, I remember I started playing AitD 2 back in the 90s but it didn't hold my interest long enough as it didn't appear to be an insane horror game like the first one... I remember shooting some guards with a submachine gun in the beginning, or something... Number 3 I've never even seen, nor the New Nightmare.

So are these new package deals going to be the norm? Because I think a flat discount on the games is more fair. That way you don't have to buy some games you dont want just to get a better discount. I realize that's the purpose of bundling the games together, to get more money from us, but it just seems a bit unfair from GOG. I thought they were better than this... Anyone else agree?
