Considering pickup up The Witcher, but I'm unsure of whether or not I would like it. I haven't played many cRPGs, so what do you guys think about this game?
Nice promo. There are six games from my wishlist in it. Sadly, I can only afford three right now.

Blood 1 and Desperados are definite buys, but I'm not sure which of the remaining to get: Blood2, Master of Magic, Total Annihilation, or Total Annihilation: Kingdoms.

Blood 2 seems to have issues with Windows 7 x64 (and might even disappear from my wishlist in a different way), so I'm leaning more toward one of the latter three. I've not played any of the choices and they all have a high rating. Does any one have any suggestions?
The witcher is a great game. I found it to be quite atmospheric and it's got a (imo) good story.

Total annihilation if you like RTS, Master of Magic if you like TBS. TA:Kingdoms is nice as well, if you prefer fantasy-ish RTS instead of futuristic.
7, seven, SEVEN of my wishlist on sale!

Nice one GOG.

Mind you, it is a bit of a large wishlist.
Witcher is redeemable on Steam?

tirto: Witcher is redeemable on Steam?
GOG has nothing common with Steam in terms of sharing games between digital distribution platforms...

No, but it doesn't need it either. Also it's gone for $5 on Steam before and will most likely be sold for $5 again in xmas.
This sale has so many fantastic games, right now I'm thinking the only way GOG can top it is with an EA sale next week.

Until then I'm off to play some more BLOOD (man that game is good, how I managed to miss that back in the day baffles me as I played nearly every big FPS release back then).

EDIT: I forgot to ask if there is any reason, any reason at all, to get Star Control 1+2 for Star Control 2 rather than just playing the freeware Ur-Quan Master? I read a few places now that the freeware game is better than the original, but is that the general consensus?

Fantastic: This is a great promo with a lots of titles, and with a big discount.

I've got a question about Desperados:
Is it worth to buy Desperados? I'm asking this because I've never palyed with Commandos games (although they're on my shelf), but I played with Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood. I've tried the demo of this game, but I was unable to finish it, it was really hard, and maybe the full game would be too hard. But I wishlisted that game earlier (not so long after the release on GOG), and it really seems to be I'd like that game, but I'm not sure. I've finished the most part of the demo, I was just unable to finish it completely.
So, what do you think? Shall I buy that game or would it be too hard if I couldn't even finish the demo?
If you've enjoyed Robin Hood, chances are that you will find Desperados to your liking. In my mind it's not as good as Commandos series or even RB, but it comes pretty close. The Western theme is a bonus to some.

As for the difficulty, I might not be the best person to comment on, being the one who always picks the hardest modes. It's been many years since I've finished Desperados, but I remember that it had its fair share of rough spots (although sometimes it was a matter of poor balance rather than a real challenge), and a substantial number of gamers did complain on the overall difficulty at the time.
I don't know if that demo you mention allows you to start from the very beginning, or rather throws you into the deep water from the get go. Usually with this kind of games you need time to properly learn the mechanics and to master abilities of the characters at your disposal (especially when it comes to coordinating their actions). A good deal of patience and perseverance might be necessary. What seems impossible at first may turn out to be fully doable after several tries.
