My new years resolution was to not get involved in ridiculous forum arguments... theres always next year!!! Tell me again why anyone cares GOG wants new visitors to the site and Curse wants more appeal for their premium? I missed the evil plot part. You guys must really hate those Google paid search results.
Thunderstone: Curse could have gone the route of offering free steam keys but instead they chose gog keys...
undeadcow: ...but if I understand what Curse does correctly, it just offers mod management and external save backup Steam's client does for free automatically anyway - so Steam and Curse would seem to be competitors in a sense (?).
I'm not knowledgeable about Curse, but mod management could be something that could be helpful to gog users since a lot of older games pretty much just beg for some modding. Gog should have mentioned this in their OP about them
Can someone tell me

1) what benefits a premium subscription would give me as a single player GOG/Steam focused gamer

2) how easy it would be to cancel a monthly subscription

I'd probably be willing to shell out $5 for megabyte punch on GOG if I can cancel easily, more willing if there are tangible benefits
Interesting news. What is that site about? Is it worth visiting?
Would be nice to know what Curse is if you want me to join it and even premium membership.
just saying.
ZebTm: 2) how easy it would be to cancel a monthly subscription
If I read their FAQ page correctly, it should be easily canceled the second you get it, and it will stay valid for the remainder of the original length.

But if you wait until five days till the end date, it will be automatically renewed. (paragraph 4.)
zeffyr: Interesting news. What is that site about? Is it worth visiting?
they tell you exactly in the OP;

what does have to offer curse users? significantly more...

Does not seem to be anything that would interest/concern me.
If it gives gog more exposure, then why not?

I only remember Curse from my wow days... No idea they were still in business.
I guess I'd be less 'meh' if ANY of the games supported by the client were available on gOg.

But they aren't.

So there ya go.

But hey - if you play one or more of those games and want a streamlined add-on manager that isn't Steam, and you sometimes get lost in the add-on process of third-party or fan sites, then maybe this is for you.
Some reviews on this site

If it helps bring more people who may not have known about GOG here then great sounds awesome.
high rated
I also wasn't aware of this site until now but, taking a look at the comments here, made me think that it is not the best service around, not speaking about what it offers for money.

Seriously, I hope that this so-called "collaboration" consists in Curse and GOG exchanging some mutual publicity and no more than this.
For a moment I though GOG had done an official deal with that spammer who keeps posting messages about those voodoo/black magic services.
Announcement should have been more clearly written. It's confusing.

And one more thing - More than info i would like to see new gane release. it is 2 weeks since last new game on gog. When we will have new game premiere?
