Fever_Discordia: NOFL? Is banging on about NOFL still a thing? No ONe Lives Forever anyway! And Aitkens' Artifact while they're at it!
Several people tried to get the rights to NOLF 1+2, some to sell it, some to remake it. They all failed.

I'm all for buying legal copies IF a game is legally available for purchase.

But in cases where there is no legal purchase option (on the first market), because the right holders have no interest to make money with their old games, I don't hesitate to use other means.

And the NOLF games have been made available to download, and they run on Win10 (and even Win11?).
It doesn't get any better.

And of course: if the right holders will ever reconsider their stance, I'm willing to legalise my copies by purchasing GOG copies (well - I already own the disc versions, so there's that).

I wonder if things would be different if a platform would want to make the games available for free...
Or under different names, if that's part of the problem...
There are many games I'd love to see released during the Anniversary.

Most of the older AAA (or close to it) games I'd like to see here but will probably never show...

Vietcong 1 & 2
Sniper Elite 3 - 5
Scarface
Godfather 1 & 2
Dragon Age 2 & Inquisition
Assassin's Creed 2, 3, and Black Flag
Medal of Honor Airborne
Red Dead Redemption 2
LA Noire
GTA 3 - 5
Max Payne 1 - 3

Anyway, looking forward to whatever comes of the Anniversary, but hopefully it comes before the full-blown recession... when I'll have no money for games!

You still need permissions by all rights holders.

It's not that you can't get these games, just not on GOG or Steam or another commercial platform.
I'll expect nothing and get less.
off topic

I don't expect any huge anniversary sale with thousands of game deals and huge discounts .

The only game that they will give away for free will be The Witcher Adventure Game .
A return to GOGs old values. Especially to GOG actually being a DRM-free store. Instead of just pretending.
Would be nice to finally get the missing expansions for Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon:

Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch

Ghost Recon: Desert Siege

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/tom_clancys_ghost_recon_desert_siege

Ghost Recon: Island Thunder

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/tom_clancys_ghost_recon_island_thunder

Then maybe even some more Clancy games.
hope they will change leadership and remove the progress the "progressives" made in the last few years

NOLF is a pre-Steam game though, so used physical copies are relatively easy to track down. The same cannot be said about all the delisted Telltale games. Those are the real tragedy.

I have a physical copy of NOLF 1 (actually two) and NOLF 2 and even Contract Jack plus the 'In The Lounge' audio CD that came with the SE of NOLF and I have a physical copy of Telltale's Jurassic Park, Sam & Max S1-3, Back To The Future, Monkey Island.

I got the CDs for preordering the games (including the great boxes of Monkey Island and Jurassic Park), but at least some of the games were released in stores on CD/DVD, at least in Germany. And at least Monkey Island was also released on the cover of a game magazine, I think Sam & Max as well.

And I can also still download all my games from the Telltale site (see attachment)
That was a nice unexpected move by the new owners.

I also saw an advertisement for the new versions of Sam & Max getting a disc release.

Btw: There is a 'unofficial' version of NOLF to download, including some patches and fixes. Works better than the original.
