Turns out my friend told me that because he knew I was a fan of vore and thought it'd be funny to make me think such thoughts while playing in the villages where there is apparently plenty of children. Even though it wasn't true... >.> darn guys.
This thread was a wild ride from start to finish.
One guy got a laugh out of it and no one got offended though, so I'd say that's a good thread.

snowykitten500: So not sure if this is true, that's why I'm here, hopefully this is the right section for it. Anyway I recently bought the Witcher 3 wild hunt from Steam, never played anything else from the series so I know nothing of it, but a friend of mine who has played the older games told me the main character you play, Geralt, eats children?
While (as the others have already told you) not true, there are lots of dark and sinister rumors surrounding witchers, child-eating is probably pretty average on the scale of things common folk believe the monster slayers to be capable of.
People generally fear and/or shun those who are as differend from them as witchers are so they are likely to believe and spread all kind of crazy sh...tuff. Yeah, shtuff, that's what I meant. :-)

snowykitten500: ...I had originally thought that the guy you play is supposed to be a good guy of sorts.
He's not "good", "bad" or "ugly", he's just... human. Heavily mutated, trained all his life to fight creatures that make most of the other humans (and possibly elves, halflings, gnomes and other races; not dwarves though, they know no fear :-D) crap their pants and run away screaming, but still... all too human. As Geralt you may or may not bring "heartache and woe, deep deep woe" or "happily ever after" to people you meet, it's mostly up to you. ("mostly" is here because you can't go full "Darth Geralt" on people).
I see... yeah it's become clear that it wasn't true, though I do wonder what could be worse than devouring innocent children.

I'd highly recommend grabbing the first two games in the series as well. They're excellent games and it will give you more of a grounding in the lore as well as give you the first two parts of the story, so the Witcher 3 will make much more sense to you.
I'm actually a little disappointed that Geralt ins't a child eating monster vampire now. ; ;

Oh well, I guess I'll play Vampire Bloodlines again. *No children were eaten in the making of this game.

This. And given how the're on sale right now for next to nothing, there's really no reason not to. I guess I'd recommend reading the books before playing the games, but I know it's not realistic to expact that of everyone who just wants to play a game. Hopefuly those who enjoyed the games will grab the books afterwards.
Remember when Mike Tyson said he was going to eat Lennox Lewis' children?

That isn't even close to being the most batshit crazy thing he's ever said. :P

Great recommendation: three Witcher games means three times as many children to eat!

How delightful~ Geralt must be hungry, maybe it's just because no one ever lets him eat children XD

Except that isn't a picture from the game, it is someone cosplaying. Granted, it is cosplaying/recreating a scene from the beginning of the game, but it's still cosplaying nonetheless. :)
