Maighstir: Great cats seem to be popular in south/south-east Asia, there's Lion in Sri Lanka, Singha (Lion) in Thailand, Tiger in Singapore, and I'd bet there are one or two with names on that theme in China and India as well.

EDIT: Where are you? Your tag says South Africa, but the beer you mentioned is Sri Lankan.

Matewis: Well it is a pretty majestic animal to be fair.

I'm in South Africa. Lion Lager is one of the well known local beers, from SAB (South African Breweries) I believe.
Hmm, well then. I shouldn't have changed my post before I posted it.

A brewery in Cape Town has an IPA called Skeleton Coast, that one should be effective in games with numerous undead.
Water is the drink of choice for me while gaming and a grilled cheese would be the snack of choice.

I have to remember that for when I eventually get round to my planned necromancer Diablo 2 playthrough :)
It would seem as if there are tons of micro breweries and craft beers over here, and some I can say are pretty damn good.

Fairfox: o i liek taht

reminds me of childhood
tho depends wut cheese...
My personal choices of cheese for a grilled cheese are extra sharp cheddar, baby swiss, and aged swiss. Usually just one of them, but sometimes 2 or (rarely) all three. Also, sometimes a slice of ham with one of the swiss cheeses.
Hot Earl Grey with brown sugar. Or mineral water.
Drink: Tap water (we have good one here) during the week, beer on weekend.
Eat: Rarely anything, sometimes some salted peanuts.

Gouda all the way!
I don't like hot beverages, I definatly can't stand the taste of coffee, reminds me of burnt mud. So I drink either spring water or Mt. Dew to get a caffiene fix.

and it was once said "I'm on a seafood diet, I see food, I eat it." it doesn't matter to me what it is to me I munch, tho I have been stearing myself towards sliced apples or cellery sticks lately.

Maighstir: *snip*
Bah....

I drink the blood of my enemies and suck out the marrow from their bones....

./insert evil laugh.

The rest of the time, it's water and crackers.

Diets suck.

Even worse is that Charlotte water makes me nauseous.

I rarely have any snacks while gaming, but I always have a large container of water nearby.

*edit* Oh, and sometimes a wee dram of Scotch.

My wife gets angry if I drink the Scotch without her... so no Scotch and gaming.

Well, it's obvious that the only solution is to... get a new wife. :P
I generally don't bother with snacks, but definitely go with the beverages. It depends on the time of the day though:

Coffee in the morning, watered down juice (yep I'm one of those people too) in the afternoon, and beer and/or green tea in the evening.

Also, +1 for the Hobgoblin and not just for the novelty of the name. It's quite a good beer IMO.
i miss alcohol :-(

To all you kids out there, don't do what I did. When you develop a severe drinking problem, STICK WITH IT! Don't go and sober up; it only leads to pain and misery.
