Personally I don't like to eat anything while gaming, but I do like to have something to drink most of the time. I'll even start to get uncomfortable after a little while if I don't have anything to sip on during a gaming session. My drink of choice is definitely coffee, cocoa, or a mix of both. Cocoa especially is great for late night gaming since it only contains a little bit of caffeine.
Very rarely, if it's been a long day, I'll drink a glass of whiskey/wine if I happen to have any. Which I don't atm :(
Doesn't go well with strategy games for some reason though :P
Depends on what I'm playing.

When slaying hobgoblins in Baldur's Gate, I naturally drink Hobgoblin from Wychwood Brewery.
More often, it's tea. Green, black, or white. Not too fruity. Sometimes with a bit of honey.

A hobgoblin beer? Why can't our beers be that interesting? We've got lion lager with a lion on the can, but it's a pretty primitive lion sadly.

Lately, just ice water. I'm on a hydration kick, and have really cut back on alcohol and sodas. That leaves water and the occasional juice.
Yeah, if I have my way, I like having a bottle of chilled water by my side, but I don't usually drink and game, that's irresponsible!
Water only. Eating and drinking sugar whilst engaged in the strenuous activity of gaming really is on the same par as fast food drive ins.
Coke.

Okay seriously, O'Doul's and Jolly Ranchers.

Usually nothing, I am so engaged with the game that I don't want nor need to eat or drink at the same time. It is not like watching some relaxing movie. Depends also partly on the game too I guess, e.g. is it a hectic and competitive online shooter, or a slow and relaxing walking simulator.

However, I do remember eating chocolate, salty liquorice and drinking beer while playing LIMBO and Portal. It tasted great, those three work together quite well.
hot coffee always no favorite snack but I often eat my lunch while playing games tho, my desk is big enuf for a plate in front of keyboard so why the hell not
Drink: water.

Food: something that gets my hands dirty so I *have* to take a break from the game (as well as to consider, "should I be snacking?" while gaming). Lately it's been Harvest Snaps.

Have you tried mixing water and juice 50/50? Best of both worlds: pleasantly fruity and refreshingly quenching. Store bought juice is just too strong for me.

Great cats seem to be popular in south/south-east Asia, there's Lion in Sri Lanka, Singha (Lion) in Thailand, Tiger in Singapore, and I'd bet there are one or two with names on that theme in China and India as well.

EDIT: Where are you? Your tag says South Africa, but the beer you mentioned is Sri Lankan.

My husband is always lamenting when I do that. I often do even only 25% juice. I do the same with drink mixes (e.g., Crystal Light). A few drops of lemon juice concentrate's enough for a whole big glass.

I do need to get a nice infuser pitcher though. I love cucumber infused water, but it gets so messy.

Well it is a pretty majestic animal to be fair.

I'm in South Africa. Lion Lager is one of the well known local beers, from SAB (South African Breweries) I believe.

I've got to try that. Sounds like it could be really refreshing.
