genkicolleen: OK, really? I love zombie movies, and so does hubby, so I got it for him for Christmas. We just spent 20 minutes being bored out of our skulls. When is it supposed to get interesting / funny?
For me it was cool all along.
For one thing, it's too meta. Actually I liked it being meta and all. :)
This: http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1128075/

I know I'm messed up...
Too difficult to choose only one! Would it be Aliens? Or The Shining? Maybe The Bridge of River Kwai? But Lost in Translation touched me too! And why not Blade Runner or Total Recall or Matrix?

Ha! Found it: It would be "Airheads" That movie always makes me feel happy! Must have watched it a million times by now! :D
KILL BILL
I don't have a singular favorite above all others. I have a bunch of favorites, probably a total of 6-10 that I consider "the best of all time" (that I've seen.) To pick one does discourtesy to the others, but then I find people in the thread naming more than one to be even more discourteous, sooo....hmmmm....

A Clockwork Orange
Funny how your mood can change, depending. When this thread popped up again, the first thing that came to mind was Doctor Strangelove, but my older response was Casablanca.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: If i have to choose one, well, then probably the Pirates of the Caribbean. If it has to be one movie and not an entire series, then i would say, the first one. It is based on a very popular novel...
As far as I'm aware, the movie (and series) is based on nothing more than the Disney ride. What novel are you referring to?
Only one?
There are many. But one I've seen multiiple times: Ronin
Hand made action without all those CGI crap.

DaCostaBR: Kung Pow: Enter the Fist

Blues Brothers. :D
My favorite is Dawn of The Planet of The Apes
low rated

Despite what they say about the fourth movie, that is also named with the same title, critics and analysts say that this book inspired either ALL PotC movies, or the first one of them more...

The Shawshank Redemption
To pick two, 2001: A Space Odyssey and To Have and Have Not.

Nice! +1 I was completely unaware of this book. Something I'm going to have to check into. :)
