Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith
&
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand

I like mostly books about economics and philosophy.

Really enjoying Wealth of Nations, my kind of book all around and perhaps one of my favorites so far.

Atlas Shrugged is a lot harder for me to get into(not a fan of novels) though I can see potential in some areas; not really a believer in Objectivism going in to the book, just curious to see what it is all about.

Sagan's and Druyan's Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors: A Search for Who We Are.
I just started reading Haruki Murakami's 1Q84 series again. Started it a long time ago, but never finished due to otherwise busy life, so felt now that it's a good opportunity to start it from the start.
Just read:
"It's Not Socialism": China is a Capitalist Cheap Labour Economy, Based on Exceedingly Low Wages by Prof Michel Chossudovsky

I also read Atlas Shrugged out of general curiosity last summer, kind of expecting to dislike it. I was surprised to find I really, really liked it! Rand's politics I found seriously disagreeable and her characters are all unlikable (except maybe Hank Rearden, who actually gets some character development), but there's something really engaging about the dystopia of incompetence she creates and the book does challenge you think.
Also, it may just be me, but her Mary Sue(s) made me think she may have been on the autism spectrum. Weird woman.

The Wheel of Time, the complete series of 15 books. This time I'm going to read it through to the end.

Amazon ruined almost everyting in their TV adaptation, especially characters and plot turns. Can't wait for chance to laugh at Season 2

Jeff B bought DC Compost, buried it, and has moved on to his next demolition project. As for AMZN, our ohana ceased doing business with them some 4 years ago, due to their sketchy order fulfillment practices. We're getting better service from individual ebay vendors. Power to small business!
I just read Mikko: nuorena surmattu by Matti Aaltio and now I'm reading 361 päivää helvetissä by Hussein al-Maadidi.
The Earthsea Cycle

I'm at the first book, A Wizard of Earthsea and honestly I'm a bit disappointed. Still, I plan on finishing whole series so I hope it gets better later on.

I've heard so much good about the series, but in the end I left dissapointed. The first book was a bit boring, after reading the whole cycle I decided that it was the best one, and the last book was meh.
