Up to 75% off tales worth telling: The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and more!

We grow up listening to stories: fairy tales, folk tales, surreal tales. But what if we could invade these stories, steer them the way we wanted? Perhaps get rid of an obnoxious character, try to save someone we like, or just grill the most interesting one with questions until we learn their entire story. Such opportunities abound in the 18 games that make up The Grand Telltale Sale, where dramatic narratives and absurd adventures coexist in peace, celebrating their reunion with discounts up to 75%!

What did America ever do to deserve such relentless, unbending, highly volatile law enforcers as Sam and Max? No idea but when the talking dog - hyperkinetic lagomorph duo hits the streets you better find yourself a good view for the explosion of hilarious antics, devious puzzles, and wanton violence that ensues.

The perfect blending of heroic fantasy with inevitable brutality is what keeps people coming back to the bleak world of Game of Thrones. House Forrester is an integral part of that story and their interactions with Daenerys, Tyrion, Cersei, or even Ramsey can often be as dramatic as any episode of the hit series.

Pick your favorite tales from The Grand Telltale Sale, going for up to -75%, and prepare for some of the most fun and immersive experiences out there: Tales from the Borderlands, Hector: Badge of Carnage, Back to the Future, The Walking Dead, and many more. Your future self will remember that.
The promo will last until June 30, 4:59 PM UTC.
Hmmm Not exactly a great sale. Telltale's older titles have been consistently discounted by 85% before. Newer titles could be considered closer to a reasonable sale price, maybe. I haven't looked at them yet to be sure.

Well, I wasn't going to pick anything anyway.
I like this batch of games... just don't feel like buying them again right now.
Well, now we know why they weren't a part of the GOG Summer Sale. I'll have to pass though. The discounts aren't really tempting enough, especially since I bought most of these games a few weeks ago for only $12 from Humble Bundle. What bugs me is that Telltale will make the Steam versions of these games available on the cheap through Humble, but the DRM-free versions only get standard discounts (when on sale).
Opening up the Weekend Promo on Thursday really kills any reason I have to get out of bed on Friday. :P

I am so ultra depressed right now.

IwubCheeze: What's wrong with the Sam and Max games?

ReynardFox: There's a bug in S&M Saves the World, Episode 1 that causes an inportant NPC to not appear at a certain point in the game. Unless you happen to know the workaround it renders the game unwinnable.

To leave such a bug in the game is inexcusable.

Add to that the fact that they haven't bothered to update Seasons 1 & 2 for Windows 10 compatibility.
Oh, really............Guess I'll do the same and hold off then. Thanks for the warning there.
This boring weekend sale gives my wallet a well needed rest. :D
Not buying anything else this week.
Got Tales from the Borderlands again, even though I got it on Android AND on Xbox... and I can't play it on PC because it's not on Linux.
But it's DRM-free! :D

sunshinecorp: I'd recommend Tales from the Borderlands to any fan of Borderlands. It's amazingly well written.
Yep have to agree, for BL fans this is a definitely a pick.

I also liked the Wolf Among Us and Season 1 of Walking Dead go for those, they are pretty good. I'm yet to play GoT series but already bought it.

Wolf Among Us was nice, if you've read Fables. I don't know how mundies will find it. It's a nice prequel for the comic book though. And I liked the Walking Dead even though I absolutely hate the comic/TV series. The Telltales interactive movie was good. I won't bother with GoT though, I loathe the TV series, wouldn't waste time on the books, and I hear the Telltale version is just more of the TV crap.

I'm not even really sure what's "weekend" about it, if it's going to run for six days :P

Which is how long a weekend should last.
I think I'm just going to hang out in this and the weekend playlist thread.

I shouldn't have even gone into the Brexit thread and I regret it. I just want to be happy and shoot the shit about gaming. And the weekend. And gaming during the weekend. Is that so wrong? :P

Galaxy does not want to import my Sam and Max installs. Anyone else having the same issue?
