How long was your current run?

Honestly since i started up again i've been ascending after 2 hours (minus when i'm asleep so it builds up a lot more money for upgrades) and getting about 12 per... 2-3 days ago i was at 33 hero souls, now i'm at 220 hero souls...

Yes i recommend ascending... Check your ancient summons, you might buy 1, but not too many or your run will be incredibly slow, build up as many as you can til you get about 50 hero souls.

Level 35 boss is muy imposs-e-blay.

And I have no idea what you guys are talking about with "ascensions" and "souls" and whatnot. Haven't seen anything like that.

It'll make sense around lvl 100.

And even there, I suggest to ignore it for a while. In particular, don't spend the souls you'll amass immediately : for a while they'll be more helpful through the boost they provide passively than through what you can pay with them.

If you see weird stuff, click on it. If it doesn't react, click more (about 50 times).

If you're having trouble with a boss, then make sure you're doing a few things...

Upgrade your heros. Probably up to 100 each, it unlocks almost all their abilities.

Use your skills together, although clickstorm is helpful, the double damage and critical from the assassin is far more valuable.

When a new hero is available, take him up right away. Their damage is usually 10-100x more than the previous hero.

If you plan on having a long run/game, use dark ritual, adds 5% damage for that run. 10% if you charge it first :P

Feel free to use a auto-clicker/auto-fire script or program, and use it sparingly (when you need a little boost on bosses for example) no need to wear your mouse out.

I now have clicked up two fish and what was apparently a ruby. Still no idea what benefit I got from them. :)

Rubies are recent. Go to the bottom of the page under the monsters you are fighting and you'll see a section for effectively micro transactions and click on it. you can get 1 of 3 things.

1) 20 Rubies, get a huge sum of gold (and recharges all abilities) by skipping forward 8 hours.
2) 30 Rubies, Gild 3 random heros
3) 50 Rubies, Quick Ascension (based on your highest level beaten)

Buying rubies is optional...

Yeah, I was playing it around christmas, so, it was all christmas themed for a long while : you had cookies and fruits and clothes appearing for instant click rewards, but the thingy scrolling at the top, which required 50 clicks (and launches a random "ability"), was a christmas present, with ribbons and all.

Also, there was no ruby back then. New addition.

I ascended once. Now I am working toward my first over-100 run.

In money-making matters, I now have 13,000 angels.

With stacking Dark ritual and the 10X bonus at hero level 1000, pressing on without ascensions is viable.

Very slow but, it's possible.

I started playing when it launched on Steam, at first I thought the devs simply had an unhealthy obsession with headcrabs and crowbars but, it all makes sense now ;p

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel in my Money Town, my time on Earth is drawing to a close.

At least I still have the Moon and it's proving to be slog :P

In Clicker Heroes do achievements stay after Ascension?
I wonder if there is any reason to wait for one to fullfil or just move right away.
