Are you looking for cutting-edge, stunning visuals? Then we have some awesome news for you – Patch 1.62 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on GOG!

With this update, our friends at CD PROJEKT RED have teamed up with NVIDIA to bring a completely new, fully ray-traced, aka path-traced, rendering mode to the game – Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode.

Patch 1.62 pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in current technology. Because of its groundbreaking nature, the update is a technology preview intended for the high-end PCs. While it’s not going to be perfect from the start and players might experience some issues, it is a vision of the future that CD PROJEKT RED and NVIDIA want to share, and are committed to continue working on and improving.

If you’d like to know more details about the update, full information about it can be found HERE.

Wake up Samurai, we have new sights to marvel upon!
Another patch without removing the DRM that gates some of the content. Another patch I continue not to purchase.
Late to the party and started playing Cyberpunk about a week ago.

So far, I am really impressed. It's a wonderful open world cousin of Deus Ex which is arguably one of my favorite games ever made.
It's definitely a flawed gem, but like a cool Jackie Wells on a hot summer day, you can taste the little splash of love in there.

Glad to see the game getting support. Sadly my PC is not high end and won't gain much from this update.

But at least that means that maybe there will be some more little additions to the game in the future?

I would love to see some more immersion bits like more places to sit and sleep, or expanded options for consumables or just more of anything would be fine.

Loving the game, I heard it's selling better now than it did at launch and hope it continues to grow as a franchise.
I vaguely remember this game. Anyone else? People used to talk about it a lot quite a while back...

It's funny because Deus Ex is also my favorite game but I just don't see any relation to cyberpunk. It just looks like a looter shooter.

Sadly I think the game industry is too rotten in the head to see what made Deus Ex revolutionary for its time and make a true successor (or even an inspired title) that follows along those lines.

Maybe it's a cousin in the same way as Hero's Hour was a pixel-art cousin of HOMM3 (a very distant cousin who doesn't add anything to the family but turns up out of the blue asking for money because "we're family")

Quickly everyone, let's go and buy out 4090s now... not :P.

Don't get me wrong, "Overdrive Mode" does look nice, but if I need to get an exorbitantly priced GPU to enjoy it, then no thanks.

Any ETA on the 1.7 Update?
No new features, still comes with DRM'd rewards... but hey, more bling... provided you support the anti-consumer, anti-competition market bullies at Nvidia.

Good to see CDPR has its priorities in order...

I definitely don't own the necessary hardware for this.
But it's nice to see that the development of CP2077 is still ongoing - if only in regard to added "eye candy".

Deus Ex is one of my favourite games too, and I think Cyberpunk has some similarities. Aside from the similar setting, both games are notable for allowing missions to be completed in multiple ways. For instance, some missions in CP2077 can be completed by hacking alone, without even entering the mission area.
So the new patch just adds Ray Tracing feature? It doesn't fix any of the broken perks? I mean the game is kinda still buggy. I'd think the priority would be to fix the bugs first before adding another graphics feature that will bring your computer to a crawl.

Poor video. It's completely meaningless when it doesn't show the ray tracing on/off. I've seen those videos and I preferred how it looked with the feature off. Visibility is much better w/o this gimmick. This is just Witcher 3 HairWorks all over again & again exclusive to particular hardware.

Did the game get any more fun? I don't see the big deal. It looked basically like this in 2018 videos.
