IMO France would play better without Mbappé. When he's available he locks them into that horrible style of play.

That has to be one of the worst England performances I’ve ever seen - and I’ve seen some pretty awful ones. They looked absolutely clueless and exhausted out there.

Why is Southgate not unleashing Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon from the bench ? He’s started with the same XI twice and brought on the same players twice, and it hasn’t worked either time. Only Ollie Watkins looked decent when he came on.

Dropped England from my initial four main contenders because they look hopeless. Replacing them with Spain, who look a very different team now that Luis Enrique isn’t the boss.

These are the main contenders for me now. Germany and Spain have been the best teams so far. The tournament hasn’t really come to life yet, though. Most matches have been pretty slow and boring to my eyes.

France looked pretty good against the Netherlands, just that Grieze can't score his way out of a wet paper bag.
England got the players but it just isn't coming together...coaching issue.
Germany hasn't been tested yet, Scotland and Hungary aren't exactly benchmarks...
Spain-Italy was a snooze (unlike France-Netherlands), looked so good on paper...

After everything I've seen so far, fire Griezeman and Southgate and hand the Cup tp France.

I hope the winner of the cup will be a team that fully deserves it. Enjoyment without controversy.

Kinda makes you wonder how past tournaments would have changed if they had it.

That was a weird moment, i was playing Warhammer and watching more or less. Both audio playing over the same output channel. Warhammer a bit muted, muffled sounds from my falc about how the cold would not cool the lust for blood etc etc and suddenly without warning just a message at the bottom of the (other) screen following on some cheers about how the goal was off side. Completely absurd

Exaclty , this is an interesting thought.
I wonder if there is any psychological effect(demoralizing effect) on the players.
And maybe we will have defenders becoming the topscorers.

On a sidenote, maybe France can still win the tourney without scoring a single goal themselves.

That's definitely something to think about. It's these kinda moments that make me confused as to why VAR receives criticism from some fans.
I get that some might find it annoying when goals are ruled offside because a guys shoulder was 1mm ahead of the defender, but they're necessary calls. There would be so much more outrage regarding some decisions without VAR than with it.
