zeffyr: Blues Brothers had plenty of CDs ;-)

JMich: I thought those were vinyls...
Right. Disks with music anyway ;-)

Fever_Discordia: Ooh saying that about Hero Quest - it WAS originally published by Gremlin Graphics and their old stuff HAS been turning up on Steam Published by 'KISS Ltd' so maybe...
avatar
tfishell: What stuff? Are you referring to Soul Bringer?

Telika: "TET on quest" :-/

tfishell: Ha ha ha, you may well be right! :D

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/402/?snr=1_5_9__403 has some odd pricing going on. I wonder how GOG will handle this, as they wouldn't leave an expansion out, right? Maybe it will be Titan Quest Gold, and will automatically be $19.99, but without the German language, unfortunately.
At least Litil Divil too, maybe more, not sure - did Gremlin have anything to do with Incoming and Hostile Waters?

Baldur's Gate had 5 discs. Maybe the EE is coming?
Or maybe Dragon's Lair is coming.

v1989: Or maybe Dragon's Lair is coming.
I think it would if the new publisher were willing to drop the price down to 5.99 instead of 9.99.

AFAIK Gremlin was absorbed into Infogrames/Atari. I don't think Incoming and Hostile Waters are Gremlin Games, I just think KISS is publishing whatever they can on Steam.

Maybe I'm wrong, but to me 5 discs sounds like something from the late 90's, early millennium (before that period games were smaller in size, after that they were put on DVDs). So, are there any RPGs of that time that aren't on GOG yet, are not owned by a notoriously DRM-favoring publisher and that are infamous for fetch quests?

Maybe Discworld? I doubt it because it's licensed property but then again maybe Night Dive pulled off another one.

Ah its because all 4 of those games are published by 'Blue Moon Red Owl' here on GOG but KISS Ltd on Steam
http://www.gog.com/games##devpub=blue_moon_red_owl
So who knows what's going on between BMRO, KISS and whoever actually owns the rights to the IP I still wonder what else whoever they are have the rights to though...

tfishell: *laughing*

Bra-freaking-vo. Emmy-worthy acting going on there.

Titan Quest would be excellent and make sense with Nordic coming here, but I don't know if it really fits.

That's clever!
And I think/hope you're right. :-)

Bad Mojo seems to be the next classic coming from ND.

ShadowWulfe: 5 CD's is probably money, but what had 5 CDs?
Well, I searched for "titan+quest+gold+size" and noticed a Kickass Torrent link saying the size was about 3 gigs. 3000/700 came up with 4.3, so maybe ~5 CDs?

Anybody with the physical version of Titan Quest Gold know how many discs it came on? I recall Call of Duty 2 came on 5 or 6 CDs.

IIRC Discworld only had one disc, and Rincewind isn't exactly a hero. ;)

It came on 2 DVDs.

Do they always use that font at the beginning?

Ah okay. So there was never a CD release?
Which games use yellow exclamation marks over the head? I'm drawing a total blank.
