Win official Witcher jigsaw puzzles and wolf head medallions!

We have a couple more gifts to hand out before our 5th birthday celebration comes to an end. For starters, just to spoil you all, we're giving away a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition with every purchase on GOG.com, until Thursday, October 17 at 9:59 AM GMT. If you haven't had the chance yet to meet Geralt of Rivia, the white-haired monster slayer, this is your most affordable ticket to the Witcherverse. That's not all, however. CD Projekt RED was kind enough to share some official Witcher merchandise with us, and we want to give it all away to you, dear users! But, as you may have expected, this does not come without a challenge.

Are you good with pixel-art? This competition is perfect for you! We want to see your Witcher-related pixel-art. Be it scenes, character's, classic 2D or isometric, 8-bit or 16-bit palette, invented game screen-shot mock-ups--it's up to you. There are two important rules: your image needs to be up-scaled x2 (that means 2x2 pixels) after it's done, so it can be viewed without too much squinting, and the resulting up-scaled image must be no larger than 600x600 pixels in size. Apart from that, it's all you and your creativity!

The two top submissions win the official Witcher beautiful jigsaw puzzles, and a code for $9.99 GOG.com game. Three runner-ups get Witcher wolf-head medallions and a $5.99 GOG.com game. You have time until Monday, October 14, at 9:59AM GMT to submit your work in the forum thread below. Good luck, and have fun!

Notice: You retain rights to your submitted work, but by entering the compo you grant us the right to present your submission on our site and social media channels (with all due credit, of course).

penismanlyguy69: not entirely satisfied with this but it was basically my morning warmup so w/e

if we're allowed multiple entries i might put him in the chicken suit
Nicely done!
I'm having trouble with this one - pixel art is just not my thing. I can do mosaics, but it's just not translating - particularly the colour pallete use.

InkPanther: Morning warmup? O.o These details! It really looks great.
thanks! and yeah, I needed something to do to warm up before getting into work for the day, so I figured spending an hour or so on this would be fun
Hi
Here is my entry to competition.

Thanks

You do sprites professionally? Because that looks like something right out of some 16-Bit game. ( And yes, I'd play that. I'm half hoping CD Projekt Red or some fans would actually create a little retro Witcher game like that, as unlikely as it is. )

As for the chicken thing, do it! Because now everyone wants to see that.

( You could put Zoltan in that outfit, I guess. And then merge the two characters into one pic. Oh yeah, and win the contest. :P )

Edit: ... by the way, your username isn't weird or creepy at all. Nope~

I'm pretty sure color reduced photos (which is what that is, don't lie) aren't allowed

Yep! I'm currently contracted with MECH6 and MADSOFT for a few things

and on the username - it's pulled from a comic by a favorite artist of mine about creepy youtube posters (and also I wanted to see if I could win and make gog issue a statement congratulating Penis Manly Guy ahaha)

e: i'll probably end up putting geralt in his chicken outfit (which is basically just him shirtless with the cone nose iirc) tonight and knock out a zoltan sprite tomorrow

Hm, those names don't really ring a bell with me. Is anything you've worked on here on GOG? Or do you guys focus more on mobile device games? Seems like that's where most modern 2D games end up nowadays.

Anyhow, good luck with any additional sprites you might end up doing for the contest. If you do several, I'd still recommend you merge them into one scene, do improve your chances of winning. Also, humour. People like humour. And boobs. Speaking of that, maybe you should do a Triss, as well.

I kinda hope you'll win now, if only to see your username in some official announcement. :D
Here's my Geralt. Made in MS Paint :) I hope you'll enjoy it. Best regards!

That's awesome, especially that background. Reminds me of the battle scenes in classic SNES RPGs.
