Win official Witcher jigsaw puzzles and wolf head medallions!

We have a couple more gifts to hand out before our 5th birthday celebration comes to an end. For starters, just to spoil you all, we're giving away a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition with every purchase on GOG.com, until Thursday, October 17 at 9:59 AM GMT. If you haven't had the chance yet to meet Geralt of Rivia, the white-haired monster slayer, this is your most affordable ticket to the Witcherverse. That's not all, however. CD Projekt RED was kind enough to share some official Witcher merchandise with us, and we want to give it all away to you, dear users! But, as you may have expected, this does not come without a challenge.

Are you good with pixel-art? This competition is perfect for you! We want to see your Witcher-related pixel-art. Be it scenes, character's, classic 2D or isometric, 8-bit or 16-bit palette, invented game screen-shot mock-ups--it's up to you. There are two important rules: your image needs to be up-scaled x2 (that means 2x2 pixels) after it's done, so it can be viewed without too much squinting, and the resulting up-scaled image must be no larger than 600x600 pixels in size. Apart from that, it's all you and your creativity!

The two top submissions win the official Witcher beautiful jigsaw puzzles, and a code for $9.99 GOG.com game. Three runner-ups get Witcher wolf-head medallions and a $5.99 GOG.com game. You have time until Monday, October 14, at 9:59AM GMT to submit your work in the forum thread below. Good luck, and have fun!

Notice: You retain rights to your submitted work, but by entering the compo you grant us the right to present your submission on our site and social media channels (with all due credit, of course).

grimwerk: I agree! We should do this once a month. By the end of the year, we could all be fairly good pixel artists.
This year? That's quite optimistic.

"By the end of *a* year" or "after a year", I should've said!

Though some entrants are already very skilled!

A fair number of entrants are more than ready to successfully participate in a contest like this every other day, starting yesterday.
Soon done with my submission! Just a few hours left~

Man, I'm glad I checked out GOG.com yesterday haha! Witcher AND pixel contest? I'm in! :D Have spent all of my free time today making the piece, hopefully it will turn out nicely!

Love all the submissions in this thread too, cool stuff guys and gals! : D
Pixel art entry: The White Wolf

I've really enjoyed seeing all of the other entries! Lots of great art! Good luck everyone.

To accompany SuperForace's adventure game background (which is Super Awesome :D), I did one as well. I spent most of yesterday and today pixelling Geralt, and now time is running out and I want to sleep, so I just did a simple BG. Hopefully people will understand all the references, but I'll attach a separate one with just Geralt as well.

For those interested in that sort of information, Geralt is 25 colours (excluding the background colour), and the adventure game mockup is 40 colours.

InfraSuperman: Sadly, I'm not very experienced in pixel art, but it's fun to do anyway. So here is my attempt.
Good job -- reminds me of the old Legacy of Kain game ( the 2D one ).

Speaking of that, they should try to get it on GOG, if at all possible.
Hey there! My entry.

Sachys: Not at all what I'd originally planned, but not too bad.

Moonbeam: It's lovely, Geralt even has a tiny witcher medallion.:)
cheers - i do appreciate that, but i did have summat very different in mind. still, it was an interesting exercise from my point of view - the colour theory is very different in pixel art for one thing, and the application in layers works better going against everything i know (i think that was the bit i liked though heheh!).
Hiho, it's my entry.
DawnBringer palette - 16 colors - original size 300x300 (zoom x2 to 600x600).
2D Witcher Pixel Edition, why not? :D
I hope you like it :)

Decided to do a scene where Geralt brews a potion using his alchemy skills! Really hard for me to to satisfying environments in pixel art so this was a fun and tough challenge!
