We have been working hard trying to solve all the issues that you have been

version.

##### Gamepad controller issues:

* Added an option to remap the gamepad controller - Options menu > Game > Remap controller - There you will be prompted to configure your controller in case the default configuration is not valid for you.
* Added an option to reset the gamepad controller configuration - Options menu > Game > Reset controller configuration - This option will reset your gamepad controller configuration to default.
* If you are still having issues with the gamepad controller, try to disable any programs like Xinput or DirectInput (if you are using them).

##### Minor fixes:

* Fixed issues with the saved data.
* Fixed issues when changing between keyboard/controller input.

Patch 1.12.1 (14 May 2018)

There's a new weapons patch out for Infested Planet, specifically improving the Planetary Campaign expansion.
Since our players enjoyed the procedural campaign so much, I decided to add a few new toys for free. Each tech tree is randomised, so adding a few new options is a good way to shake the game up.

New Weapons
- Here are the new tools for your alien-fighting pleasure. They will show up in your campaigns, randomly replacing old tech. You can also check them out in the custom game mode (if you have the DLC).

Toxic Bomb
- We've already had airstrikes in the game. Now this technology allows you to drop a poison cloud on the enemy hives, killing all the bugs in the area. The best thing is that the cloud hangs around, so you could cleverly deny the aliens portions of the map.

Holopad
- Sometimes you just have to be tricky instead of brawny. This new building will spawn holographic marines to distract the enemy. While they're shooting at decoys, you can shoot them back with real bullets.

Cloaking Field
- Make sneak attacks with this new research building. It cloaks your entire team and allows them to fire on enemies for a while before uncloaking.

Triage
- In the Planetary Campaign expansion, sometimes your armies get beat up and run out of morale. Solution? Rescue your soldiers with this new tech station just before they die. If you pull it off right, you can still win even with the most demoralized army.

Radio Pod
- This allows you to buff a single soldier to fire three times as fast. Stick this on a minigunner or a rocket trooper and they'll eat aliens alive.

Other Improvements
- You can now customize the Planetary Campaign before you start it. I added two new advanced options:
- Play every single campaign map with fog of war
- Reduce the power of retreating (to eliminate exploits)
- There are also several bugfixes and tweaks.

muntdefems: Nope, there's still *a lot* of games which allegedly now have support for Windows XP and Vista. The changes apply equally to old games and pretty recent ones, so my bet is that's an error. Let's wait til Monday, in case all these changes are reverted...
Well, instead of Monday it was Tuesday, but everything's back to how it was before the weekend, i.e. those alleged Windows XP and Vista support are gone now.

Our troubleshooting launcher remains on the public_beta branch. If you are having trouble running the game and have not yet opted in to the public_beta branch, please do so in order to have access to additional configuration options that may help you:

[WINDOWS] [STEAM] [GOG] Added an optional BATTLETECH Launcher that can be used to configure the following options before launching the game: Borderless Windowed Mode, Exclusive Fullscreen Mode, Video Rendering API. We recommend using these options for troubleshooting if you are experiencing hardware or software compatibility issues. To use this launcher, run the BattleTechLauncher.exe in your installation folder. In GOG Galaxy, you can open the More menu next to the Play button and choose Other -> Configure BATTLETECH.
Additional note for players who mod various game files...Reminder that modding is not officially supported. If you have saved a game with any mod active, that saved game will not work after an update has been applied unless you replace all modded files exactly as they were when the save game file was created. Saved games require the exact same data state in order to function properly.

If you are using Windows or Mac, you have to use Galaxy to get it.
