It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

*scribbles HereForTheBeer's name as #4 on the list, after Vainamoinen*

And I was about to log off, but not risking it now. I hope a GOG staffer will read this sooner than later, and gets to it.

Why do such things always have to happen on a Friday evening or during the weekend?

EDIT: And we're back on.

*puts list away*

Several.

Yes, saw it after I had posted here, and got really excited.
I posted a comment in another thread about the current state of HTTPS deployment on GOG along with a list of personal recommendations that I believe would be a good idea for GOG to do going forward.

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/account_menu_missing/post159

I'll try to re-evaluate their HTTPS deployment from time to time and summarize recommendations here as well.
On the navbar I see "ACCOUNT [42]", look inside the menu and see "FORUM REPLIES 2" so I click on it and it loads up the forum replies screen showing me one "My posts from last 24 hours" which I already read and replied to so it is greyed out, and one post from last week which I already read and replied to so it is greyed out. Clicking on each of them to view them again confirms I already replied to them and nobody has written back to me on either of them.

Reloading the page still claims I have two unread forum replies. This means that either their are two unread replies that the system is not actually showing me, or that there are no replies and the system is mistakenly telling me I have two unread replies. Either way, something is definitely broken.

Update: Second problem I notice today, I just received a message in chat from GOG, and the ACCOUNT->CHAT notifier said I had 4 new chat messages. I went to chat and received one message only, replied and no other messages are visible to be read. The message did have 4 lines of text in one message though, perhaps the code that checks how many messages you have waiting got confused and read the variable that says how many lines of text are in the last message you received. ;oP

The question is - do you look at the notifications being on forum? See workaround in this post:
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_break_thread/post1080
Unfortunately there's a bug with refreshing notifications on forum (or "missing account" one). Which we will fix for sure.
Is the broken login -- where you see the 'sign up' and 'log in' buttons in the forums, even when you are logged in -- still a thing? This issue came back for me about five minutes ago after having been gone for quite a long time.

You're not alone, I've also experienced it myself a couple of times during the last week.
And notifications don't update unless I visit one of the fresher, better GOG pages.
Was not happening for me till today, just visiting the front page or one of my account pages was enough for the nav-bar to work as should on the forum.

If this is one of the steps towards fixing the issue, it's not in the right direction.

Follow up on this.

I've been having this issue for the past 2-3 days now, and noticed something quite interesting yesterday, confirmed it today.

If I have chat notifications, and go reading my forum replies first, then notifications in the nav-bar don't update unless I refresh one of the fresher, better GOG pages first, then refresh the forum page I'm on.

As soon as I read my messages and clear these specific notifications from one of the updated pages, then notifications in the nav-bar update without the need to visit/refresh any of the fresher, better GOG pages first.

So, it looks like the chat notifications cause some sort of glitch that causes other notifications to hog.
The interesting part is that this happens only with any notifications I have when I first log in for the day. If I get a message notification later on, the nav-bar still works as should on the forum.

Hope this helps, and that we'll see a fix soon (not soon™), because it's getting really tiresome to have to do this ritual every day..
Woah, GOG broke again the chat function -> i can chat with myself >.<

if i try i to do it; i get an atlas bear ....

i'm baffle , this bug was fixed quite sometimes ago , and they managed to reintroduce it , congratulations .....>.>

Hi all,

I have a small update - issues (it was all related but I'm listing symptoms) fixed on forums by our top men:
- Account button visibility (shown when logged in)
- You can log in on forum
- Notifications are updating on forum pages
- You can't open tooltip of yourself

Sorry you had to live with them so long, I hope you didn't get used to them.

If opening tooltip of yourself was an issue in the past - it was probably because of disabled personalization during promos. We had to do it sometimes.

P.S. Ninja Squirrel mask is finally moving with the wind on the frontpage. Oh, what a bug this was. :P

I was getting ready to do the usual routine, but hey, logging in from the forum worked, the account tab showed up, and notifications show and update! Yes, seems to work as should.

Cheers for the udpate, Johny.

There might still be some issue with it. I am sitting in a room with no wind whatsoever, yet the mask's straps are still moving.
Cheers for all the fixes.
