Yes, it's another edition of The Thank the Fellows Giveaway!

It's the usual format. Instead of entering for yourself, you nominate one or more forum users to win the prize. The winners will receive the following prizes:

The winner will receive a 9.99$ GOG game of their choice.
2 runner-ups will each receive a 5.99$ GOG game of their choice (1 game courtesy of ZFR).

Random.org will be used to select the winners.

---------------------------------------
RULES: (Mostly copied from BillyMaysFan59's rules, with some modifications):
---------------------------------------

(Read and follow very carefully! Nominations that don't clearly meet these requirements will be invalid.)

No entering for yourself ;) Thank the others.

In order to nominate someone, you must have a join date of at least December 2014, and a rep minimum of 25.

Nominate one or more forum members, whom you personally appreciate, and would like to thank. You may edit your posts to nominate more people later.

Nominate as many users as you like. Yes, even walls of text are welcome.

Please try and not nominate people just because they host lots of giveaways. Nominate people who have helped you, people whom you have had pleasant interactions with, and of course people who have been generous towards you.... overall, try to nominate people who have made your time on the GOG forums enjoyable.

You must give at least a brief reason for everyone you nominate. (No, don't just say "Because he's awesome!" or like I said above, "Because he hosts giveaways, and that's awesome!")

I reserve the right to ignore nominations if no reasons (or poor reasons) are given. (Or if the person being nominated generally comes off as a troll/unpleasant person around here)

If the winner refuses the prize, I will go to the next one in line. If the winner does not respond in the next few days, I will do the same thing.

The winner is free to re-gift or trade the prize.

The host of this giveaway would like to remain anonymous. Please respect this. I'd ask you that should you somehow manage to find out my identity to please keep it private.

---------------------------------------

The giveaway will end in around two weeks (the 21st-22nd March weekend).

Favorited~!

I will be back many times to add more, but allow me to add the first nominations in the thread:

Soccorro. Not for his giveaways, but for his random kindnesses that he refuses to be acknowledged for.

ddickinson and Enebias for the many many thoughtful, well-spoken, and highly-intelligent conversations they've started and participated in on these forums!

Sage103082 for being one of the sweetest ladies on the forum, and for the many entertaining conversations we've had about our cats ♥

IamSinistar for his wonderful sale-tracker threads and for being awesome in general. You rock, Sinistar!

Grargar for his tireless updates, both to Sinistar's tracker threads and to the Gaming Deals thread
and speaking of the Gaming Deals Thread madth3 is also tireless in his updates, and I'm always grateful ^__^

momo1991. I could nominate her for giving away over 600 games, or for stating the MAHAYO initiative (Make A Human Answer YOu or as I like to say, Make A Human Answer, YO!) which helps to protect our forum from leechers and trolls, but no -- I'm nominating momo for being an amazing human being. Not only has she helped dozens of people she doesn't know with personal issues, but she spent hours researching and talking to just ME! She literally changed my life, and I can never thank her enough. Thank you, momo! ♥

ThePunishedSnake for being a kind person who's great to chat with. Super guy~!

niniendowarrior and liquidsnake, for many fun and interesting IM conversations.

alexkoti for trusting a total newbie (me) and being the first person I traded with. He has always been a joy to talk to, and he is just a super-nice person.

samlii for gifting a very nice bundle to a total newbie (me again ;D ) just because there was ONE game I really wanted in the bundle (I gave the rest away in the Ninja thread, way back when) I've never forgotten that act of random kindness ♥

Dzsono for random kindness and fun conversations

Spinorial for some fun conversations!

DeMignon for being an upstanding person and disagreeing with me in a respectful manner with no hard feelings on either side in the end :D

awalterj for making me cry here

chevkoch for being an incredibly nice person.

LinustheBold for being a kind person who is great to talk to.

trentonlf for his crazy serial gifting syndrome (SGS). He has made soooo many people happy with his random gifts, and more than once I've seen him give away games that he himself has wishlisted!! He needs to buy something nice for himself for once~!

CarrionCrow -- if you've never had the pleasure of talking to him, you've been missing out on some great conversations~!

Crewdroog for being a crazy, fun person on these forums XD

Just noticed this. Thanks to the host for continuing the tradition.

Some are copied from the previous giveaway which I hosted...

Grargar - not just for his efforts with the Insomnia tracking, but also just for being a good all-around contributor to the community, having an expansive knowledge of the general games industry, and using that knowledge countless times to help other users.

IAmSinistar - A fine example of a real GOGnard. IAS has been here to track just about every big sale, and show great all-around enthusiasm in the community. Very highly esteemed around here, and for good reason.

RagnarBlackmane - One of my "Steammates", so to speak. We've had lots of good conversations, and he's shown lots of generosity and enthusiasm in this community, which seems to have largely been ignored. We do agree on some musical tastes too... no need to explain that further ;)

foxworks - Possibly one of the nicest guys I've met here. It's always nice talking to someone who is very welcoming and never makes you feel like an outsider. I also respect this guy's work on the BBBBoB giveaways, which I have donated stuff to.

shmerl and ssokolow. These guys are fountains of knowledge when it comes to Linux, and I've seen them helping other users on that subject very often. I don't think they get enough credit or thanks around here, so I'm including them in my nominations.

Sude, the cool guy that created the lgogdownloader utility. As a Linux user, I think this is a great (and almost essential) tool for downloading GOG games, and this guy's hard work on that deserves a shoutout.

Also Barefoot_Monkey. Big thanks to you for creating Barefoot Essentials, honestly I don't know how I survived on the forum all this time without using it. At the present time, not only does it restore color to the site, it also adds several nice forum enhancements. Kudos, Barefoot_Monkey!

tfishell and Barry_Woodward - For all their hard work on promoting games in the GOG wishlist, and contacting developers/publishers in order to convince them to release their games here.

voodoo47 -He's been an invaluable source of information inside the Thief subforum, and has also done work on important patches like TFix.

tinyE - This guy's always made me smile with his off topic posts, and his incredible thread derailing skills.

DampSquib - He's gifted me stuff when I didn't even ask for it, as well as leave gifts in many PM inboxes, and I think he deserves something in return for that!

I'd include everyone, but I'd hit the character limit before I come close to finishing, so I'll leave it at that, with apologies to anyone whom I have left out.

Cheers!

First, I'll nominate people who helped me in particular:

RWarehall: Saw that I was too late in entering a GA for Torchlight and gifted me a copy he had.

Cyraxpt: He saw me hesitating to enter a GA for Hitman: Absolution and decided to settle the matter by gifing me a copy he had. This guy deserves a nomination for the effort he puts in his "play a game" GAs if not for anything else.

adaliabooks: Read that I missed The 11th Hour on the Insomnia Sale, so when the game reappeared he bought a copy for me. I had managed to grab a copy myself a bit earlier, but I really appreciate the gesture.

(I vaguely recall someone else gifting me one more game on GOG, but I double checked my messages and games on both GOG and Steam and can't find anything. If I missed you, please let me know.)

blueskirt42: Bought a rare Jagged Alliance strategy guide an sent it to GOG so they could scan it and make available to everyone.
http://www.gog.com/forum/jagged_alliance_series/jagged_alliance_1_strategy_guide

Second, I'd like to nominate some people for more "general" than particular reasons.

genkicolleen: For an incredibly positive attitude, something these forums could use more of. I really like reading her posts.

Bookwyrm627: This guy might not appear much on the General Discussion, but he is of really tremendous help on the specific games forums. His posts are long, detailed, well-written yet without any spoilers. Just 2 examples here:
http://www.gog.com/forum/magic_carpet_series/i_find_it_really_difficult_to_play_magic_carpet/post6
http://www.gog.com/forum/might_and_magic_series/mm7_prestarting_question_party_etc/post34

_Slaugh_: Great GAs (e.g. poker, backronyms). He really puts much effort into them. Positive attitude. (and he has a lovely cat...)

I might edit this to add a bit more later.

The_Blog- During the Insomnia sale he stood out to me with his personable attitude and generous spirit. I hope to see more of him in the forums as he is a pleasure to talk with.

IAmSinistar A man who is a stalwart friend and daily shows kindness and generosity to whoever needs it.

HypersomniacLive Another person who always brightens my day when we talk, I truly look forward to any PM I receive or post I read as I know it will make me smile :)

Foxworks and Sachys It's hard not to nominate them together, and they both deserve all the accolades they get

DampSquib A man who does not make his presence known often, but when he does you will for sure be happy, He is one of the most generous people in these forums and I tip my hat to him.

ddickinson Here is a lady who tries to appear honery and rough but really has a heart of gold. If she is around and someone needs a comforting hand or word she will be one of the first to offer it. You should get to know her if you don't, she is a true lady.

CarrionCrow Just go into the Conversational free for all thread he created and you will see him there more often than nought exhibiting friendship to a variety of people. He is just a good guy, even if he will deny it ;)

-Ghorpm because he's always reliably helpful and just recently beat his backlog. We can't allow this, people without backlog? It's unbecoming, unacceptable. Therefor, somebody give the guy a game! You can pretty much count on Ghorpm consuming (and finishing) his gifts, one more reason why this is an ideal recipient :)

-MadyNora, because of her many creative talents of which she has shared very cool results, plus she still lives with her parents and imho that's not always entirely easy. Games are a great way to escape from parents when they're annoying!

-ddickinson, this one should be self explanatory. Always there for others, not just in words but action
Immediately one person sticks out in my mind, and that is KOVI.

He/she takes a lot of time talking to people about the game Inquisitor, almost as if they are a friend of the development team/used to be on it, and they really care about helping people work around and with its flaws, has deep knowledge and input, and really has made that game even more enjoyable, which is important for that game because it should be enjoyed and I feel like a lot of people would have never tried it, finished it, and certainly enjoyed it as much as they have because of KOVI. It's my new favorite game. Thanks KOVI!!!

I'd also like to add _Slaugh_ to my nomination. He/she made an incredible giveaway (Murder at the GOG Manor) and really deserves more kudos for it rather than having it fade away into memories so quickly.

tinyE because he's always willing to be the butt of a joke. We need more people with a sense of humor regarding themselves...

zenwan, same here

madth3, same here

The Fox, The Chimp, The Live, for the TBBBBoB's series and putting time and effort on it

genkicolleen, for being so genki

Thanks for nominations. Thanks for the links moonshineshadow. Hyperlinks work for me now.

Just to answer the PMs I received: yes, you can edit your post however much you want. I'll add it to the rules.
As for now (will probably edit and add more names later):

IAmSinistar, Grargar and Pidgeot - even for such a non-very closely observing person like me, their endurance and/or wits with tracking the sales are invaluable.

toxicTom - were you here during GOGmas alert? No? Check WE ARE UNDER ATTACK then. His bookmarklets (1/2) were some of the things that kept spam at least a bit off-limits.

ZFR - I've never yet seen a giveaway/thread/post from him that wouldn't actually kick my brain into a state of working. Maybe not always into solving something, but definitely to thinking about something.

mrkgnao - MyyyyGog! Myyyy!

adaliabooks - can't you win a giveaway? Not even if you try three times? Don't worry. Adaliabooks has you covered.

_Slaugh_ - giveaways. Not because of the quantity, but quality and originality. For example, his Texas Hold'Em. They're not just "come, say I'm in, preferably write a(nother) sentence and win".

AnonyHappyMouse - though, this probably isn't permitted. But why not try it? :P

Tarnicus - for his kind help during the latest Insomnia Sale

Cyraxpt - for running the wonderfuly fun choose-your-adventure style Sunless Sea giveaway
All right, let's see... Though I'm not sure any of them still has anything they want and didn't already buy, can at least use them for future releases :)

mrkgnao, for creating and maintaining MaGog and offering features which really should be right on GOG in the first place :)
IAmSinistar, for maintaining the regional pricing lists and mixes (even if there's... tension between us due to him having given up the idea of actually pushing back against the concept as a lost cause), and tracking promos.
Grargar, for helping IAmSinistar in the above endeavors, and actually taking over from him in tracking this last sale for the last few days.
Pidgeot, for creating, maintaining and updating his bot to help track such crazy sales.

Since the last thing that happened was the sale, rather decided based on it, but with this being posted now, seems appropriate.
