Piñata Madness is back – meaning excitement, mystery, and exceptional deals on some of our favorite hand-picked titles.

What is Piñata Madness?
For $3, you can buy and smash your own digital Piñata, each holding one of 100+ mystery games worth anywhere from $5.99 all the way up to $44.99.
Visit your Pinata hub, where can buy, open, and see everything Piñata Madness!
Just like real-life Piñatas, they'll bring you joy, surprise, and reward. Unlike real-life Piñatas, ours drop really good games instead of candy – games like Pillars of Eternity, Shadow Warrior 2, Heroes of Might and Magic, Victor Vran, and more!
It's a great way to broaden your horizons and try out games you otherwise wouldn't, knowing you're always getting a deal that's worth it. And if you already own every game included in our Piñatas, each game you drop will be a giftable code so you share the joy with your friends.

Weekly Megasale
If you'd rather know exactly you're getting, check out the Weekly Megasale featuring great deals up to -90% on some of our favorite titles including Darkest Dungeon, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, Heroes of Might and Magic III, and more!

The Piñata Madness and Weekly Megasale last until August 21, 2017, 9:59 PM UTC.
I've never played a Spellforce-game, but now seems like a good time to get into it, with the S2 Anniversary edition on a good sale :) Are they any good? I see S2A has support for co-op. Does it run on Galaxy, or will I need Hamachi or something?
I've gotten 2 games from these that were currently on sale already for $2.99. Meanwhile, with the other 2 I bought, I saved a whole $1.17

Usually i'm against RNG Microtransactions, but seeing as it's a whole game I'm getting instead of an item/weapon for a specific title, I'm okay with it. Tried it out once, got a game called The Guild 2: Renaissance. Never heard of it. Cost the same price as a Pinata (because of the sale).

1 time is enough for me haha
I got theWitcher 2 which I've already own in my library...disappointed :(
I'm certain I'll pick sth from the sale but I'm not going to give Pinata a try...

Lobuno: I don't like abit of this piñata thing, but:

You people voluntarily go gambling for games, and when you "lose" you come back here whinning... Really not a smart move at all. Sad.
Yeah, I did have a moan at the quality of games that I unlocked. I made my posts so people could see the "downside" of these types of gambles, you probably aren't going to get the game you want. I wanted to counter the "positive" posts that people were making about getting a good haul - which for most people, isn't going to happen.

Regardless of the quality though - gambling for games is one thing, gambling for games that probably won't work on your system - that's something else.
Finally a sale that stands apart from the rest. That's the right way to go .
I'm not a gambler, nor am I interested in most of the offered games, so I'll pass this time.
As far as I'm concerned, such offbeat sales are always welcome.

Off course they are. I am happy for this sale, just not happy with my luck ;)
I found Shadow Warrior, I already got it for free somewhere else.
If it helps you deciding.
Already own Skyshine's BEDLAM on gog and with my luck I got the Deluxe Edition in a Pinata, guess I'll annoy the Support again...I'm sorry. :P

Looks like this will be the first sale where I won´t buy a single game :( There are maybe four games I´m interested in. It´s not worth buying random stuff and crowding my library for a minimal chance to get a specific game.
Anyone know if the gog version of Invisible Inc. is up to date patch wise to the Steam version?

Robette: What about the unequal distribution of games available in the pinatas? I guess the description in the FAQ is somewhat intentionally left vague stating that you get a game from the pool "at the time", but honestly I think that is very missleading. The advertisement for the Pinata stats that you can get great "gems" like such and such, but then it turns out most of these games are not even available anymore on day 2 without any indication of this being the case for possible buyers.

I bought two more Pinatas today which I wouldn't have bought if I would have known that in advance.

EDIT: Currently the FAQ litterally states:

"each holding one of 100+ mystery games"

and

"Unlike real-life Piñatas, ours drop really good games instead of candy – games like Pillars of Eternity, Shadow Warrior 2, Heroes of Might and Magic 5, Victor Vran, Saints Row 4 and more!"

There basically is a missing fineprint that would say *games might not actually be included, conditions and such and such may apply. In fact, the first statement is outright wrong when each Pinata holds just one of 40+ (?) mystery games.
I can confirm that all games in the Piñata pool will be available during the whole period of the sale - we're distributing all available games in Piñatas throughout the whole week so it doesn't matter if you come the first day or the last.

You know there is a separate sale running alongside the Pinatas? Just check the main page

Thank you for Deadlight GOG, looks interesting:)
For what it is worth I am happy with what I got out of the piñatas(perhaps minus the Pillars and Tyranny glitches) but it appears the only game currently selling for a reduced price that I don't own is No Man's Sky(besides the two editions of Pillars and The White March Part 1 technically being listed as owned, even though I own all the content contained there) and I am not interested in that. It is too expensive, even at 60% off.

Usually with GOG sales there are lots and lots of games I don't own, even despite owning so many games. But somehow this time it is as if they specifically chose games I own, where as it normally is the opposite. I guess part of that is the puñata system being limited to games I own.

I actually like this because it is frustrating seeing so many games on sale but realising that you can't afford them all

So an affordable sale that you can actually have a good overview of, is kinda a breath of fresh air.
