--Original announcement--
Piñata Madness is back – meaning excitement, mystery, and exceptional deals on some of our favorite hand-picked titles.

What is Piñata Madness?
For $3, you can buy and smash your own digital Piñata, each holding one of 100+ mystery games worth anywhere from $5.99 all the way up to $44.99.
Visit your Pinata hub, where can buy, open, and see everything Piñata Madness!
Just like real-life Piñatas, they'll bring you joy, surprise, and reward. Unlike real-life Piñatas, ours drop really good games instead of candy – games like Pillars of Eternity, Shadow Warrior 2, Heroes of Might and Magic, Victor Vran, and more!
It's a great way to broaden your horizons and try out games you otherwise wouldn't, knowing you're always getting a deal that's worth it. And if you already own every game included in our Piñatas, each game you drop will be a giftable code so you share the joy with your friends.

Weekly Megasale
If you'd rather know exactly you're getting, check out the Weekly Megasale featuring great deals up to -90% on some of our favorite titles including Darkest Dungeon, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, Heroes of Might and Magic III, and more!

The Piñata Madness and Weekly Megasale last until August 21, 2017, 9:59 PM UTC.
Still waiting for my pinata. :(
Thanks for the freebie, though I am not sure I will play it anytime soon. As for the Piñatas, what would make them even better is if we were able to restrict our choices at least by OS, as not everyone uses or wants to use Windows. I opted to try my luck with two and got Metro: Last Light Redux and The Signal From Tölva, and apparently I got a good value out of these. Although I dual-boot between Windows 7 and Linux, I rarely boot into Windows nowadays, which means either trying my luck with Wine or installing in Windows. I now reserve Windows installations only for the few games I enjoy or have a good deal of interest in, so I guess these two games are wasted on me for the moment.

marcusghost: I bought five piñatas, i got Warlods Battlecry III (looks fine), Skyshines Bedlam Deluxe edition ( maybe i would try it), Saints Row Gat out of Hell (already own it on Steam), Guild " The Renaissance (never heard of that game) and Republique, a game that i wanted to play for a long time.
Not bad at all.
You paid 15$ for those... :/

i got Guild 2, but i already own Guild 2 Renaissance, wich contains Guild 2. FAIL
this what I got from 2 piñatas(more that enought gambling):

guild wars 2 (of course)

and spell force 2
I decided to get one piñata because I felt like getting a new game, and I get Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons (a game that I already had), and was quite disgusted to find that it is on sale right now for $2.99 on GOG.

Really GOG? I thought all of the games were worth $6.99 or more? I paid more for the piñata than I would have for the game itself. I am very much not pleased, especially given you are supposed to be this "Great and honest company", this appears to simply be an extremely dishonest and very greedy move to me.
This is the worst deal. The only games I got were all about $3 anyway with the sale that's going on. Plus they're just terrible games. At least have good games.
Well, after licking my wounds after the games I got from the pinatas sale (Trine2, Guild 2,Anno 11602, Imperium Galactica), I decided to give the games a try.

If the 4, 2 of them launch to a black screen and 1 of them is consigned to a window so tiny it's impossible to read the text (even with a magnifying glass) So, of the 4 games- 3 are literally unplayable.

Never mind the value of the games, never mind the quality of the games - for GOG to be selling goods in this manner, where the customer doesn't know in advance if they can run them - and without the ability for refund - is quite immoral, and also potentially illegal.

For a company that prides itself on being DRM free and goes through the extreme legal difficulties on sourcing old games, I am both suprised and disgusted with them on this matter. Gog were at the forefront for refunds, and we should be able to get refunds for software that doesn't work - regardless of the payment method used.

I really hope I get a refund for these, if not, I'm going to have to question if I'll be shopping at GOG going forward. I have always really liked GOG, and have been a customer for many years. I would hate to lose it as a games portal, but I feel very strongly on this issue.
To people getting games they already own, or games that don't work for whatever reason... I'm sure GOG would sort it out if you contact them. In my experience, they've always been very fair.
I don't like this kind of gamble, I prefer to pay more for a game I intend to play (in the next future). But thanks for the pomo.
Based on the number of games in this madness sale there's 96% chance I would not get a game I actually want so I'll pass. Thanks for the freebie and bought Shadow Warror 2.
I have bought 6 piñatas and 4 of them are on sale at same price (2,69 euros), 1 was 3,09 euros and the other one 3,59 euros. Sooo...i am just paying for those games with have 90% or more discount and getting the games at the same discounted price. No 44,99 games, but also not even 3,99 games inside. I agree with others: for this, i prefer to just go and choose the games myself. I am going to pay the same, anyway...

At least i was lucky and i got 3 games i am surely going to play and 1 was even on my wishlist waiting for a sale...

Edit: i forgot, if you buy, do it 1 by 1. No duplicates if you do this way (as you get more piñata's games, you'll increase the options to get duplicates is you don't do it 1 by 1)

Edit2: Oh, GOG, and thank you for Deadlight free. Nice game!
