--Original announcement--
Piñata Madness is back – meaning excitement, mystery, and exceptional deals on some of our favorite hand-picked titles.

What is Piñata Madness?
For $3, you can buy and smash your own digital Piñata, each holding one of 100+ mystery games worth anywhere from $5.99 all the way up to $44.99.
Visit your <span class="bold">Pinata hub</span>, where can buy, open, and see everything Piñata Madness!
Just like real-life Piñatas, they'll bring you joy, surprise, and reward. Unlike real-life Piñatas, ours drop really good games instead of candy – games like Pillars of Eternity, Shadow Warrior 2, Heroes of Might and Magic, Victor Vran, and more!
It's a great way to broaden your horizons and try out games you otherwise wouldn't, knowing you're always getting a deal that's worth it. And if you already own every game included in our Piñatas, each game you drop will be a giftable code so you share the joy with your friends.

Weekly Megasale
If you'd rather know exactly you're getting, check out the Weekly Megasale featuring great deals up to -90% on some of our favorite titles including Darkest Dungeon, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, Heroes of Might and Magic III, and more!

The Piñata Madness and Weekly Megasale last until August 21, 2017, 9:59 PM UTC.

Oh god, no. I should have mentioned that I am bored, because I am grounded due to both upper and lower sideband in my foot being ruptured. So I am actually bored and in pain and I already feel punished enough. :D

Get well soon, that must really hurt ;_;

Ouch. That does sound horrible. Are you able to sleep?

There was a bit of drama at the end and it took a long time to extinguish the fires.

tarasis: Thought I'd give it a go (kinda fun idea), although for my 2.69€
avatar
AngryAlien: I've got The Guild 2, which at the moment costs exactly 2.69€... xD
Man both that, and the foot, are painful. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, and some luck if you go for another Pinata!

Kristian: "By the way, I got one duplicate (I owned Pillars of Eternity Champion Edition and a Piñata gave me the smaller Hero Edition), but GOG fixed it in under 30 minutes."

What did this fix consist of? A refund? Is the Hero Edition listed as owned for you?
avatar
puviani: Just a refund, which I immediately used to buy another Piñata. But that was one FAST refund! :)
So just to clarify the Hero Edition is no longer listed as owned?
What I got out of 20 Pinata's:
Repeats/games I own:
Tyranny – Commander Edition
Pillars of Eternity: Hero Edition
Heroes of Might & Magic 3: Complete
Skyshines BEDLAM Deluxe Edition

New games to my catalog:
Pinstripe
Full Throttle Remastered
The Signal of Tolva
Memoranda
The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Miniseries
Thimbleweed Park
Everything
The Sexy Brutale
Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour
Shadow Warrior 2
Expeditions: Viking
Scanner Sombre
STRAFE
Batman: The Telltale Series
Owlboy
RiME

While I have No Mans Sky on PS4, if that was something I could score I’d get some more pinatas

At least for those who hate Pinatas they have the regularly discounted sale items. I think that’s fair to those who like to gamble, and those who don’t. I have pretty everything else, except for just a few. The Pinata sales are best for people with a rich wishlist or who at least enjoys a variety of games. If you don't have one, go for the regular sales if you don't get much after a few Pinata's

A Pinata sale ... Never had any luck with these. Usually got only the games I would never touch. So I guess its a pass for me. Not much on sale outside of the Pinata sale otherwise.

Polaris.849: So far:

1. Her Story
2. Republique
3. Warlords Battlecry 3
4. Trine

Not sure what to think of now, but at least 3 out of 4 feels ok to try :) Not sure about number 3 if I ever try that...
Any thoughts regarding those games guys? Are those good games?

P.S.: I wish we could share between everyone to swap games I try for sure instead of the one I think I will not.
I've actually only played WBC III out of those 4. Not a bad game, if you like base-building and unit upgrading RTS games.

Your hero also gains experience and levels up. Not that exciting now, but back when it came out, it was unique. There are 16 different races and a bunch of classes to choose from.
One question: If I own every game that can come out of a Piñata, what happens?

Also, what if I buy a Piñata, but neglect to open it?

(Yes, I know that ended up being more than one question.)

If you own every game, you will be warned that you will receive a code that never expires for one of the games, and you will be given a chance to cancel your order. If you neglect to open it, it will automatically be opened for you and the game will be added to your account after August 28. https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004458369-Pinata-Madness-FAQ

I just bought Pinata (order #865cbe9033ea) and Pinata Hub says I don't have any pinata. What the hell is going on?
--edit--
It's ok now. I had to use CTRL+F5 in my web browser at Pinata hub page.

I hate it to get a Piñata game that I have already in my library without notification.
avatar
kohlrak: Haven't played them, so i don't know. The idea of an ARPG, however, is that there's action. If you're clicking and telling your character where to go instead of direct control, it's less Action, more RTS or TBS.
avatar
trusteft: Let me guess, you were born at the earliest in the late 90s, more like in the 00s ?
1989, actually, but I don't see the point in that.

I'm curious about this. Why are you grounded for getting hurt?
So it is tempting... but the only game i am interested in is Pillars of Eternity and it is on sale. Ive seen a few people get a copy in a pinata.
Thanks for the freebie though, always looking forward to those even if i don't end up playing it lol

meh. I've bought into the random twice before and both times got something I already had in another format or on another service.

I could see where this could be a decent gamble if you ONLY use GoG, but for me, you've already got me twice, not happening again. MAYBE if you had a full list of "this is what we're pulling from" I could gauge my odds of getting something I have elsewhere, but not going in blind.
waste of money just cheap junk you would never even look at let alone buy
