A timely sale, it's been absolutely scorching in Melbourne last few days, I think it's supposed to be an insane 35 degrees tommorrow, really thanking God that I bought AC last year.
Thank you GOG!

RWarehall: If you think that's funny, the sale is internally named "Hot Sale January 2018", they time travelled back a year!
... Typical GOG.
I already own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Is there any difference in content between purchasing the expansion pass or the Game of the Year edition?

Thanks.

If you buy TW3, All expansions and DLC then you will unlock GOTY for free too.
If I'm remember correctly. Correct me sb if I'm wrong.

Two new additions to the "Hot Sale":
Dead Cells (20% off)
Dead Cells OST [DLC] (20% off)

Nothing too special.
..... and yet you didn't manage to put 'super hot' on sale!

Another sale so soon after the lengthy winter one? And yet, nothing has changed/improved regarding the catalogue filters.

Anyway, thanks for the freebie. Also, thanks @GOG for making me use my outdated Vivaldi every so often. I guess.

ssokolow: Since I forgot to create a dedicated announce thread for it, and it only has 17 installs, I should probably mention the helper userscript that I wrote for GOG's last big sale.

(If you open up the catalogue view, it'll hide stuff you already own, a configurable blacklist of keywords like "OST", and stuff that's either more expensive or less discounted than you want, then use color-coding to indicate different tiers of deals... all configurable.)

I wrote it because the newest iteration of GOG's site design made it harder for me to adopt my usual approach to sales, which is to walk down the catalogue listing, checking every single thing on sale and exhausting the budget I allow myself by buying stuff that has the right balance of "looks interesting", low price, and high discount.
Cheers for the handy script. Doubly so since doing anything about the lacking filters seems to be very low on GOG's To Do List (assuming it's even on it).
thanks for the free game, that was nice to wake up to. :) as for the sale, i cant be arsed trolling thru 5 pages of unsortable game lists so Ill pass, which is a shame as I often would buy stuff on deep sale as i browsed off my wishlist. regardless, thanks for the free game and cheers!

mintee: thanks for the free game,
I just started playing it and I love it, though it's probably not going to suit everyone.
Dang. I was hoping a new set of games would go on sale each day. Guess not:(

I owned Witcher 3 previously and later got the Expansion Pass. That's how I ended up getting the GOTY Edition. So unless they changed something, you should be able to get it this way.

Gengar78: Since Wasteland is on sale, this might be topical: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/wasteland_dos_original
EDIT: I just noticed this was labeled as completed. Is the DOS ver. really included or is this just a big lie?
I didn’t try it yet, but from a quick glance it seems at least the Linux version includes everything needed to run the original version through a vanilla DOSBox (or a real DOS system).
Hot Sale and no Flames of Dragons from Skyrim yet.
