tinyE: I'm a little confused about Frostpunk. It looks like a Civ/City building sim but a lot of the reviews mention winning it and how long it takes to complete. Is it a sim or does it have a series of campaign missions?
Its a survival city builder with expeditions for ressources and finding out what is happening with the world around the city. Basically the premise is that you are trying to keep your city warm until the big cold passes and the only technology for heating you have is a huge coal generator that keeps the city warm. You need to feed the generator constantly, keep your people happy, produce ressources, research tech and smartly use a few pieces of very valuable tech you can only find in other abandoned places. The campaign events are partially triggered by time, aka days that you have played. The other events happen depending on what you do to the city and the people. The goal is to survive. You also have now a couple of new sandbox maps that you can play in a survival mode aka survive the big cold or in endless mode where you can build the city of your dreams without the threat of the cold.

Hope that helps you a bit.
I'm broke until the end of the month so no buys for me this time around, but free stuff is always appreciated.
Oh, wow ! I didn’t expect a sale like this at all now, so soon after the Winter sale. Thank you for the free game ! I’m wondering whether I should finally buy The Witcher 3, but I have only barely started playing the first one
The color theme of the front page looks really HOT and tempting.
Like it!
Another sale? It's going to hurt my money :(

Really, REALLLY go watch a "let´s play" of it on Youtube.
I did.
Couldn´t see any way I´d play differently, except for some minor deviations. Decided to skip the game.
It´s basically a city builder on rails.
Great atmosphere though.

Since I forgot to create a dedicated announce thread for it, and it only has 17 installs, I should probably mention the helper userscript that I wrote for GOG's last big sale.

(If you open up the catalogue view, it'll hide stuff you already own, a configurable blacklist of keywords like "OST", and stuff that's either more expensive or less discounted than you want, then use color-coding to indicate different tiers of deals... all configurable.)

I wrote it because the newest iteration of GOG's site design made it harder for me to adopt my usual approach to sales, which is to walk down the catalogue listing, checking every single thing on sale and exhausting the budget I allow myself by buying stuff that has the right balance of "looks interesting", low price, and high discount.

Cool, thanks for the help. :D

Problem is I'm still totally undecided. :P
No link to the sale? Hm, I guess I have to draw my machete and walk thru the jungle until I find the sale!
GOG, you bloody basterds! Why didn't you tell me you are going to put another sale, just after I spent all my money on non-videogame oriented stuff last week?!

Well, I guess I'll grab Hollow Knight OST, and hope that new releases will continue this way, 'cause the start of this year is exciting!
Grabbed Stalker and some Stellaris DLC which were on my wishlist, but never showed up on my wishlist as “discounted”.

pkk234: My wishlist luck is just not with me.

On the plus side looks like The Witcher 3 GOTY is at it's all time lowest now at 70% off.
It'll probably stay like that for future sales as well.

e: I also like the color scheme.
Yup, nothing on my Wishlist is on Sale either, lol.
Thank you GOG for the free point and click adventure game. Much appreciated. Keep up the great work.
By the way, will other games go on sale too as the sale goes along?
