Oh right, this thread was about Covid-19. How the F did we end up with poo and crappy currencies?
I dunno, but I DO hope you two keep it brief and we get back on track lest the nice kind staff give us the gift of "going offtopic locking". ;)
============================== More ontopic:
In my own country a man went to an event(dunno what kind) even while he knew he was very likely to be infected....now they have to track ALL attendees of said event and check them as well....some people have no common sense, lemme tell ya.
I refrained from discussing this earlier, but since you brought up an important point...
This is IMPORTANT.
A semi-rural senior living facility in Washington state has had multiple COVID 19 cases and deaths.
As with deaths, the Fire Dept was called each time. In the US the Fire Dept comes prior to the Coroner.
In all 26 Fire Fighters came to the various scenes.
Those 26 Fire Fighters are now on 2 week quarantine.
26 Fire Fighters is almost that ENTIRE community's Fire Dept.
Now, should there be a fire in the next 2 weeks, where is the community going to get fire protection?
Now think about this should the virus spread to larger, more urban areas.
I hope this is enough to illustrate that this situation -- virus cases aside -- is going to tax the limits of the system.
While it's great to hope that their will be an emergency system should you need them, if you expect it in this situation, you might be out of luck.
I am not being hyperbolic.
In this modern world, many of you probably have not been in a situation of self-reliance. And while we have yet to see the extent of this pandemic on daily life, the signs are clear that this is the time to try and be as self-reliant as possible for the near future.
