Thanks to do people who asked them.
I think the key words here are "with any luck".

Let's ask the Magic 8 Ball...
Dying Light - Enhanced Edition: It does not support the "docklets" codes for weapons and some of the new rewards offered as part of their new free DLC packages. It also does not support the companion app.

OP from that discussion here. I got linked to this discussion on my other thread on this issue here on gog. Someone at reddit created a wishlist here on to warn us about this issue on the store page (I've just edited the main post linking to it), so I think it would be wise to like it to see if they pay attention to us.

It seems most of the discussion is about how Steam is better than gog for non-vital things (and how Steamworks basically seems to fuck online for us, gog users), but at least there's some exposure to the issue.

Hate how some of the posts point out the fact we're the minority. I know we are. We know. That still doesn't mean we should swallow the treatment and accept it.

Any case, one of the biggest topics brought up there is alternatives to Workshop. I know of one that works regardless of platform, mod.io. I hope more developers start supporting it. Problem is, we'd need devs to know about it, and our scope is limited...we could use more word of mouth.

Discussion there kinda sucks if you try to complain anything about Steam. People seems more interested on talk about how steam is better because Steamworks instead of talking about the actual problem.

There are ways to download stuff from the workshop for most of the games. The only case I've seen is Starbound, and it was by decission of the developer. (btw, the workshop is a great example on how dangerous is closing an ecosystem. Is really comfortable to use, yeah, but you are basically fucking everyone else).

I noticed. People are talking about how great the Steamworks API is, which I am not buying into, given we have our Galaxy APIs and how they've been evolving and integrated more and more. Several a game implemented it, why are they holding back?

I'd still rather not have anything on the Workshop and for it to die. If there is on area that the DRM-free movement is sorely lacking in, it's mods, and thank you Valve for all the trouble.
And here we go again...

Moonlighter: Got updated in the meantime.

Omensight: Updated to 1.02 on Steam, not on GoG.

Moonlighter: Updated to 1.4 on Steam, not on GoG. Doubly important because the game is buggy as hell in the release state.

Dude, these updates are from today and yesterday, respectively. At least wait till Monday/Tuesday to complain... :\

This is more like a posted reminder to myself, quite frankly. I'll check back next week and see if they got updated.
Can anyone confirm if the GOG version of Ultimate General: Civil War is up to date with the Steam version? This link posted on May 18 says the Steam version is v1.10 hotfix rev.17781, but there's no info on the GOG fourms anywhere about the current version. I'm trying to find out while the game is on sale. Much thanks in advance.

I'm surprise that Surgeon Simulator is not listed. The GOG version lacks the free DLC : "The Heavy" and "Trump".

Also, according to this post, devs have no plans to update it at this time.

It's not on the list because no one ever brought it up. Added it now. That dev quote you linked has to be one of the more cordial and at the same time more asinine responses. It's so freakin dumb I had to use it in the description.

Someone please explain this to me: Isn't Steam DRM on the publisher's side as simple as ticking a box? At least that's how it was once described by the creators of Tex Murphy: You sumbit your build, the automated Steam system says "Would you like DRM with that?" and then you either tick the box or don't. I can buy into the "We have to create a new build"-line of reasoning for multiplayer titles. But for a singleplayer game? Am I missing something here?
It's interesting though, that the game page of Surgeon Simulator has this note:
Please note: 'The Heavy' and 'Donald J Trump' surgeries will be available at a later date.
Either the devs changed their minds or that note was merely an assumption by GOG
