So much drama going on here, makes me sad.

So I'm making this one for my own selfish reason of improving my mood.

dammit my plot has been ruined , something might be brewing up though wait for it

I wanted to let some members know about some info , some people are bit puzzled about temp bans .
Currently when a user breaks a giveaway rule , we issue warnings however since most people dont check in here frequently and there is no way to actually do a temp ban on the steam group.
The user is dropped from the group. After they notice that, they may post their reason for breaking the giveaway rule here after which they will be added back.
Remember warning dont always have to be in order
1 st warning - temp ban
2 nd warning - temp ban
3 rd warning - perma ban* .
However if a user even after getting a 1st warning goes on to create chain of rule breaking spree , then all of em add up and will end up in a perma ban if it reaches 3 .

If the member refuses to post a reason within a maximum of 7 days , temp ban will be converted perma ban.

*- sometimes things happen really fast and beyond the control of the user in such cases the perma ban maybe lifted based on reason given by the member.

Also i have come across a sad thing while enforcing these rules , most of the time the member gets back and posts his reason getting back into the group .
However i get questions sometimes such as this "OMG WTF i got warned for not posting a comment ? do you know i have xx rep and have done xyz giveaways in the past "

Please there are no immunity rules here , the rules are applied to everyone , if you cant accept the rules set by the gifter do not enter the giveaway.

Back when I joined the GOG Gift Club, it was a fun community and amongst the first things I checked every morning to see what new games people had decided to put up for grabs. In time I did my share and made some giveaways of my own since the thank yous and +1's made my day - during the past six months I've done a total of 25 giveaways for this group and felt good in doing so. Winning games was never a priority for me, but it was an added bonus.

The last couple of months I've witnessed a great turn for the worse. First I was accused of not claiming a game I won after a two day delay and now being temp banned for not commenting on a giveaway page where the wording is "please leave a comment".

This has really soured the club as well as GOG as a whole for me. It used to be a great community I felt like I belonged to, but that is no longer the case. I understand the need for policing to root out scammers and such, but enforcing rules like this and publically embarassing forum members just seems too harsh to me.

I wish you all the best. Hopefully the club's still a good experience for all of you.

Sad to see that the members feel that they are being embarrassed when we post their warnings here but if there was a more simple and effective way to do it , im open to it , the posting of the warning is done here so that the gifter may present the information to steam gifts in case of a scammer or he has to do a re roll .

Also the please wording is done After the heading RULES and we have rules that members must obey the rules before entering a giveaway

Rule #10: Respect any rules set by the gifter (e.g. for GOTY edition, you may not enter if you already have the base game)

As I said in your giveaway, Rule 5 cannot be true due to how Easter date is calculated. Remove it and you'll have an entry ;)

I was going to enter and challenge you to prove I broke the rules. But alas, I'm too easily disqualified, having done a giveaway last week.
