darthspudius: What are you talking about... I did that ten years ago! The little bastards are playing my games now. Growing up well... that is no fun. Unless you want to become a Pirate. ARGH!

mechmouse: So you're kids are playing your Steam games, unless you've only got one computer or have got some time share going on you're using offline mode.
Great, that what most parent did before SFS, and likely do now.

I also believe you used to use No-cd cracks.
No cd cracks I only use for my games. Steam games I don't even bother screwing with. They work and play that is all I am concerned about.

I got your point and I wrote my answer. If you want to discuss it please open a new topic. Please don`t derail this thread. Just write here if you found a game you can run without Steam client which isn't on the list.

Can we please stop derailing this thread? If someone wants to use cracks, 3rd party software, etc he can do so as he pleases. However these methods don't qualify to this list and I think it's safe to say we should leave it at that.

Let's focus on what this thread is all about :)

You don't receive any where near enough +1s for maintaining this thread!! Than you for your effort!
Okay, the list is up to date!

Jet Force
I actually can't find Jet Force in the Steam store... Is it a different game?

Thanks for keeping the list.
Don't need to return botanicula to the Store.

It's Jet Gunner. Folder name was Jet Force, that's why I accidentally wrote that.
Has anyone tried Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition with New Vision? That replaces the executable, so might remove Steam dependence, if there's any.

I have bought Deus Ex GOTY a while ago and after patching it I did not need Steam Client anymore.

Question: Does "The Dream Machine" run without Steam Client? It is on sale but only a few days so it would be great if I could receive a quick answer :)

This thread should be a sticky thread. Is it possible for GOGers to contact GOG staff and have them make a thread into a sticky thread?
After posing my question above in the Steam forum as well. It was said that The Dream Machine does not need any Steam to run. I bought the game and I can confirm that no Steam is needed :)

Thanks for checking it out! I've updated the wiki to reflect this. I thought it had been done already, but for some reason the entry for The Dream Machine had question marks instead of check marks.
The Windows version of Arma Tactics is DRM-free as well. Tested on Windows 7.
