cecil: So I did some research and here is a review that might help you know if you want it http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/hegemonia-legions-of-iron-review/1900-2901045/
Neat thanks for the pointers! Still not sure if it's exactly what I'm looking for (oddly enough the reviewer mentioned something as a negative that for me, for what I had in mind, was a positive - low unit limits! Helps to make the units feel more important and less "spam 10,000 of UNIT X").

I think I'll keep this one on my radar but for now Not In! - so if you added me to your list of random win-ness budejovic, do take me off... this time...! ;)
Congratulations, budejovice. It looks like you are doing well.

I had to lookup what "peakbagging" was. :-)

I can almost say that my hobby is collecting hobbies. Usually I reach some moment where I cannot continue (often due to lack of time), and at a later time I just pick up a new one. I can talk about oil painting, electronics, archery, coin collecting, roleplaying, kenjutsu... I'm never too serious with my hobbies and never invest too much money into them. Yet I always think about going back to them, and continue where I left off.

The hobbies I'm trying to maintain are swimming and boardgaming (mostly eurogames).

I'm in for a chance of winning Memoria, please.

Thank you for your generosity.

For others that may be interested, my friend and occasional climbing buddy Greg Slayden, who runs peakbagger.com, has a nifty little essay on how peakbaggers differ from other mountaineers:

Tempted - some mighty fine games on that list! - I know because I own quite a few (thankyou sales!).

However, I wont enter as I was gifted a rather shiny thing earlier this week and bought some bundlecrap too.

As to hobbies though... I used to practise longbow, but no longer (when you get to be a certain height, it gets damned expensive), and my other former hobbies are now my job really.

Sorry it isn't your thing either I was hoping for either Home world or warcraft 3D in space.

That's awesome you're quite lucky to get to do what you love.

It kind of seems like geocaching, without the "caching" part. :-)
(but then again, I don't know that much about geocaching...)

Fair point that's why my hobby is still a hobby ;)
Congratulations on becoming a 3 star GOGeneral budejovice which you thoroughly deserve and more. Thank you for the celebratory giveaway with a mighty fine selection of games as well. I wouldn't have entered but one game caught my eye that has been on wishlist so please count me in with a chance for Memoria and I really appreciate the opportunity. :)

As for hobbies, when I was a lad I enjoyed collecting stamps for a while and then drawing/sketching but I never got good enough to do original work so I stopped pursuing it. I also took shot at writing poetry and had my very first poem selected to be published in a poetry.com collection which was very popular back then. I even won first prize in a local contest on a website but I haven't written any in a long while and have been procrastinating about getting back to it one of these days. I am also an amateur cinephile and like watching movies from all around the world.

So in short my other hobbies aren't anywhere near as interesting as yours, since I was really intrigued by your achievements in peakbagging that you recounted in a previous giveaway.
Bump!

budejovice: -My main non-gaming hobby is peakbagging.
Holy crap. That has to be one of the more terrifying hobbies I can imagine. I'd rather be a shark dentist or a tiger manicurist.
I'll close this in ±24 hours. Final bump!
Congrats on 3 very well deserved stars!!

NOT IN

Before you know it you will have 4 stars :)
